To say Ara was happy that spring was here would be a vast understatement. There was pretty much nothing she loved about winter. The snow was more of a hindrance than anything, though it could be beautiful at times; she missed the warmth of spring and the life that it would bring with it. As the snow began to fade - a bit too rapidly this year, causing some dangerous flooding - she began to see the grass and plants sprouting from the earth. It was a lovely sight, and it made her feel quite invigorated. Especially as she took a deep breath of the pleasant spring air as she slid from the den she shared with Novel. The only thing that would make this season better was if they reunited with their sons.. but she knew they were old enough to fend for themselves, and if they were not here, it was for a reason. Even if it was not a reason she loved.

A content sigh fell from her lips as she made her way to the plains. Only the smallest amount of snow remained here, if at all - though the earth seemed soggy everywhere she stepped, dirt having turned to mud. It delayed the blooming of the herbs she loved so dearly, but she knew summer would be here before long. It didn't stop her from looking though. She and Novel had spent plenty of time down in the Southern continent.. she almost wished they'd gone at a better time though, as they hadn't had much time to search for herbs there. Now she needed to get a good supply going, as soon as they began to bloom.

Her heart was light today as she padded through the plain. It was soggy here, but not nearly as wet as the Mangrove forest she had grown accustomed to. A slight smile painted her features as she searched for any signs of life - from the small patches of grass that had begun to turn green and become reanimated, to the gentle birdsong that echoed from the near distance.
