Navigation :: The Orchard

Simurgh knew that it wasn’t fair to just want to interact with Dragon... But when Kharnage seemed distant {much like she herself was} and Lykos seemed cold how could it be expected that the young girl would want to interact with her siblings? It wasn’t to say that she didn’t love them. Regardless of how her siblings acted, the trouble that they got into, Simmy loved them. They were all just fine in their own ways. All of them had their flaws. But Simurgh tried to overlook that.

The girl had woken up late that night. The rest of her family was asleep within the den, but Simurgh had slipped outside into the night air. She had a nightmare... And not wanting to stir Avalon or her siblings she sought to face the scaries alone.

Her fur was fluffed up, her amber eyes narrowed into the darkness. Her invisible enemies lay out there somewhere in the cover of darkness... And Simurgh knew that she needed to be ready to fight them, to protect her family at all costs. A puppy growl would leave her lips, her body looking more like an overly fluffy cotton ball rather than the normal fur of a wolf.

It was time! One paw would take a step forward, and she would begin to trek into the darkness to find those scary beasts. She had to beat them up and make sure that they didn’t dare come back. Her gaze was bright, determined, making monsters out of the shadows of the trees.

Where to begin...?

He should probably be less hard on his siblings, especially Dragon... but... he was too easily annoyed. When he went to interact with them, they were so insistent on acting stupid and not listening to the rules. It wasn't that difficult! There was a difference between acting stupid and playing, and it seemed Dragon hadn't made that distinction yet.

He was much less picky about what his other siblings did - he was often annoyed with Simurgh, though, just because she solely interacted with Dragon, and that really did upset him. And Kharnage, he just hadn't seen much of him. Ah, well. There was his sister now, and he'd get his revenge.

Lykos would lay a paw down carefully, brilliantly blue eyes focused on the black and white form of his sister. A mischievous grin would cross his features, and he'd edge even closer, using every ability he had in order to remain quite in the Orchard. He had to sneak up on her, he had to. He'd hear her growl and his grin would widen - good, she was distracted. He'd attempt to slide around her, become one of those monsters in the shadows, before making his move: at a dead run, he would try and leap at his sister, aiming to barrel right into her.

Simurgh was so intent on facing the scary beasts from her nightmare that she didn’t sense Lykos’ approach. She didn’t know that her behavior had upset him, nor did take into consideration the jealousy he might feel towards her being more drawn to Dragon. Her ears remained folded against her head, her eyes narrowed, fur on end... She never saw him coming. So when that sudden, powerful force barreled right into her Simmy would let out a shrill screech before tumbling over onto her side.

Limbs would flail wildly as she fell, amber eyes squeezing closed. She didn’t know what had attacked her... But it got her! It had her! It was going to eat her up! Simurgh would growl, desperately trying to claw at whatever the beast was. “You’re not gonna eat me! Go away!” She’d growl, though there was a hint of desperation in her voice too.
