Shrike was shaking. It was only now, now that it had been a couple days and Finch had been cared for, that he found the courage to go see her. Shrike felt incredibly guilty. Both for not being there to help her when she was hurt, and later for not seeing her sooner. But he couldn’t bring himself to look upon her when she was in such a state. The young man would heave a soft sigh as he came to her den. Hopefully she wouldn’t be mad at him. He wasn’t sure his heart could bare that as well. Shrike would close his eyes, calling out softly to his sister. “F-Finch?” He already felt so nervous that he’d upset his stomach. Why did life have to be so hard?

For once she wasn't laying in the den like a useless lump. Civetta had dragged her outside again, but she didn't make it very far. Instead she had gone around back to where she kept her pretties buried, she had uncovered them and stared at them with sad blue eyes. She longed to go and collect more, but she had hardly been able to go very far. Fear still gripped her chest, stopping her from doing much of anything. In fact, this had probably been the most she had moved since waking up in her den several days ago. Her head still pounded, and at times she felt like her heart was beating too quickly in her chest. Aunty Harmony had told her that it was all from an herb that she ate too much of, and she remembered that the woman who gave it to her said that it would help her. Maybe it was all an accident? She wasn't sure, and it was hard to picture her face. But the beast of teeth that had attacked her shoulder, had that been the same wolf? Finch wasn't sure, and if she thought about it too hard her head hurt more. So she left it alone, standing up on shaky legs and leaning against the outside of her den for support. She took a few steps back towards the entrance when she heard her name called. Ears perked, and she slowly came around the corner, seeing Shrike standing there. She gave a soft bark, her tail wagging a few times as she took a few shaky steps towards him. "Shrike!" she called softly, pushing her nose into his cheek. Unable to stand any longer, she sat down outside the den, her light blue eyes sparkling as she looked at her brother.
