Where oh where was his sister dear? He had lost her, for she had wandered off - something not uncommon; she was oh so prone to doing so. He had tracked her... here. Of course, he had scented another male with her at one point - something that made him so angry. He knew she wasn't... very good at using her brain when it came to males. She adores being complimented - nay, ,i>requires it, and isn't afraid to use her body to get that approval she desires. It has given Rowan many heart attacks as of yet, and he swore that he'd just... lock her up somewhere next heat. This past heat they'd both been too shaken up to revel in their newfound adulthood - not that he'd let her, anyways, or himself - but come next year he had no doubt that it would drive his sister to new lengths to get what she wanted.

Ah, damnit, where was she? "Dahlia!" he shouted, tail lashing behind him as he glared around. She better come out soon.

The tall she wolf sprawled languidly over a rocky out cropping, right over the water. Her striped tail dipped over the edge as the rush of the current lulled her. Birds chattered overhead as frogs croaked and jumped in and out of the water. Occasionally the splash of a fish or a turtle could be heard. Peace held the woman tight, an oddity in her regular life. Of course she couldn't take it for granted, and her nap like state made that obvious. The voice that disturbed her wasn't enough to upset her though, Rowan's voice was always a welcome one. When had they gotten separated? She wasn't sure now, she'd been pretty pre-occupied playing with Arsen. The reddish man had kept her company for a while, but he couldn't compare to her brother's presence.

Wasting not a moment the striped she wolf picked herself up from the rocks, easily she'd propel herself forward, snaking through the tall grass as she sought out that voice. He was close, it didn't take long for her to smell him on the breeze. Long legs brought her closer to her litter mate, until bright pink eyes finally fell on his form. "Rowan." She'd reply after finally arriving, her voice filled with sarcasm. Her tail wagging in a playful manner, like they'd never even been separated.

He waited. And waited. And waited. Seconds grew into dozens of seconds, which slowly faded into a coupld of minutes. To Rowan, it felt like a lifetime. A lifetime of increasing exasperation, until a form poepped out at him suddenly. His muscles tightened, fur bristling along his spine as he stared... at his sister. Oh. How had he not- no, wait. She had been downwind of him. She'd smell him, but he'd not smell her. Eyeing her, he wondered if he did it on purpose. He'd not be surprised if she did.

She'd greet with his name rolling languidly off her tongue, and he chuckled, shaking his head as he stepped forward to nuzzle her shoulder in greeting. "Dahlia," he replied evenly, a smirk on his face. The smirk slowly froze as he got a whiff of her scent, and he'd lean back to search for her eyes, a frown slowly forming. "Dahl? Whose scent is that?" His voice held a wary note to it. The scent was undeniably masculine - and damnit, this was what he was afraid of! He didn't want her to make these sorts of decisions... she wasn't able to. She was too much a temptress, a flirt. He didn't trust males to control themselves around her, and she would be willing to flirt with anyone.

She'd grin at the reaction she'd receive, it hadn't previously donned on her that she'd been going into the wind. He wouldn't have expected her if he couldn't smell her. She wouldn't hesitate to help close the distance between them as he came forward to embrace her. She'd return his affections, pushing her chest to his as he pushed his features into her shoulder. That meant it was easy for her to feel him freeze up. He was quick to pull back enough that his gaze would rest on hers. "Whose scent?" Dahlia was well aware of the tone in his voice. Didn't he think she could take care of herself? She was here and safe what was there to worry about? She'd get a mischievous look on her face, the playful demeanor meant to soothe her brother's worries. "You know, you worry too much," Dahlia would tell him as she avoided the question. It didn't matter who it had been, he wasn't with her now. Attempting to further distract him she'd pull away, continuing on their journey. "Found anything interesting yet? Decided where we're going to go?" She'd pull even further away from the topic of Arsen and her time with him.

Of course she was amused. He didn't expect anything less from his dear sister. Rolling his eyes, he growled good-naturedly, although smiling softly at the returned affections. He'd give a soothing lick to her ear before... everything happened. Knowing she was avoiding the topic, he'd eye her. "No, I have to look after you," he'd counter, brows raised in a challenging sort of way. It was perfectly reasonable. It wasn't said harshly, not at you, but rather in the same soft tone as before. She knew why he worried, and why he kept an eye out, and whether she liked it or not he'd keep doing it... just like she'd find out who this male was. After giving her another look, one telling her this wasn't over yet, he let the subject drop. "Nothing interesting yet, Dahl. I did find some herb reservoirs on the way, so it seems this land here is nice for that," he told her. "As for where we're going to go, I was thinking you might want to decide that," he grinned, aiming to bump her shoulder lightly with is muzzle. Might as well; might preoccupy her.

Yay phone post!

He quickly countered her laid back words, but she knew better than anyone why he was that way. She couldn't blame him, and though she might not say so much anymore, was very thankful for. He'd let her get away with it for now, but she knew there would be a more in depth conversation later. For now she could focus on their near future. The herbs and prey were plentiful, they could easily stay here. Rowan was all for allowing her to decide where they might wind up. Dahlia would take the time he'd allow himself to be distracted to offer him more of her affections. Maybe if she kept up the light heartlessness he'd forget about Arsen. "I haven't seen much, but I know it's too wet here." She really shoul have still been covered in mud, but thanks to a certain encounter.. They'd always mostly been wandering rogues, their parents never staying in one place for long. Probably because of their sire... "Let's just keep going. I want to see everything." She already had such a solid plan.

He would eye her, amusement glittering in his eyes. He knew what she was trying to do, distract him with sisterly affection from the scent of the male that still clung to her pelt. Yeah, right. There was no way he wasn't going to ask or remember. Still, he'd let her, until she would answer him. He would nod in agreement - it was indeed pretty muddy there, though it seemed most areas were muddy and flooded this spring. Perhaps not so much in the summer, but he would let her decide as he had said. She would decide swiftly, and he'd smile. Keep going, eh? He could do that. "Alright. That'd be fun. Where do you want to go next?" He had sort of decided up to that point; why not let her take control for a time, let her do as she wished? Well, under his watch, anyways.

Considering she didn't even know where she was now, she doubted there was anywhere she could actually name and go to. Directions would probably be their end plan, spin around, whichever way you're pointing when you fall down you go towards. "Just.. go until my feet hurt." She'd tell him with a flick of her tail as she started forward, unamused by all the mud. They'd find somewhere dry to go for a while. Though they found themselves in the lowlands she could still see the mountain ranges that ruled over the lands. Surely on the other side they would find some kind of desert. "Are you up for a little treck through the desert?" She'd ask politely, but there didn't seem to be much debate as she changed direction only slightly towards the mountain range. "Or a hike through the mountainside?" Since all the water was already down here the highlands of the mountains should have been dry right?
