The long road home to you

The wedding hadn't yet come about – with the birthing of Voltage's children and then the world they had all put into cleaning up the beach, it had somehow gotten delayed. He didn't truly want to wait, and he imagined and he imagined Voltage and the party loving members of their family where eager for this wedding to happen. Then there was the trouble Ray had caused of late, through after his lecture to both her and Mortar things seemed to have calmed down for the moment. Speaking of the youngster... that was yet another thing he needed to discuss with his lightning litter mate. Glacier was in an oddly fantastic mood. There was no trace of the darkness that had shadowed him for the months past. He had Anais, his children, he was surrounded by his pack. The beach was returned to them, they had a wedding to look forward! More children of Voltage and Gaia to cherish and love. The clouds of the things he wished not to dwell on couldn't touch him in the moment. He hummed as he strolled along the beach, admiring the handiwork of what their pack had accomplished working in unison. It wasn't long until he was at Voltage's den. With the little youngest too young to be left on their own it was an easy guess that he would find Voltage here. “Sparky, come on out here so I can squish you!” he roared the words, through gently enough not to disturb the little ones. Voltage was lounging, enjoying the feel of his children resting against him and between them. His wife was sleeping often enough, but he was used to it. This was a mirror of their first litter, only this time...there were three of them. He was looking fondly down at his children, a gentle sigh on his tongue. They were gorgeous. One a soft grey, the other with stark red markings, and the third, the little girl, a cloudy white accentuated with blue. They were so beautiful, and already growing so fast. He was just about to lean in, to press soft kisses to his daughter's ears, when Glacier's booming voice called for him. Stormy eyes would lift up to look at the den entrance, narrowed slightly as he checked to see that everyone was still sleeping before he moved to stand. Stepping out of his den, he'd look up at his brother with a smile and a raised eyebrow. "Yes?" He asked curiously. Glacier only ever really called for him in that way when he needed him. "You could have woken them up you know..." He said softly, tenderly, to look back at his den before looking back up at his brother. "Come on, let's walk." He said softly, a gentle smile on his lips as he nudged his brother's shoulder and moved to walk towards the ocean. "Burn Baby Burn" |

Glacier's lips twitched as Voltage climbed out of his den and chastened him. He hadn't been that load, his voice had been rough, but quiet, and he was certain he hadn't disturbed any in that den but Voltage. Watching Voltage's fond gaze cast back to the den, Glacier's own blue eyes reflected his inner happiness. Voltage looked so at peace with the world, and the sight did Glacier wonders to his already wonderful mood. “Sure thing, old man” he agreed softly, leaning into Voltage's nudge, through not enough to knock the other man over. With that, he followed Voltage along the beach. " “I missed this place more then I realized, its good to have it back” he said idly, in no rush to get to business as he matched his pace to his brothers and strolled their star-kissed beach together. Voltage moved to Glacier's side, looking out at the ocean after he had looked back to make sure his den and his family was okay. He laughed softly when his brother nudged him and teased him. He would shift to nudge back and grin up at him. "We are getting older, aren't we." He said with a laugh, shaking his head before he began to walk towards the ocean. The sting of the salt water touched his nose, and he greedily breathed it in. They had lived on their little beach for so long now. They had made their pack, had children...life was good. He stared at the inky blackness of their ocean, their worst enemy and their provider. It was the water that had washed away his daughter, had taken over their home, but it was also the ocean that had provided them fish, protected them from other packs. It limited the ability for rival packs (not that they had any) to get into their packlands. The ocean, like life, was dangerous but oh so sweet...and he had missed it. He nodded slowly when his brother admitted the same. They were forever on the same wavelength. "We picked a good home, brother." He whispered softly so as not to disturb their packmates and family. His stormy eyes glittered in happiness as he took in the night, looking up at the stars and the skies. "Beautiful night for a walk. Would you like to go up to the cliffs? Or walk along the beach?" He asked happily, looking up at his brother. They didn't get to spent as much time together as they used too, and he missed it so dearly. "Burn Baby Burn" |

Glacier pulled a face as Voltage took his joke seriously, pointing out their growing age. He was starting to feel the effects of old age, he swore he wasn't an nimble and flexible as he had once been (not that the giant had ever been known for his agility) the two brothers would walk on along their beloved beach, and take in the salty air and freshness of wind blown in from the sea. “aye” he agreed softly, and not without a measure of pride. He did love their beach home, even if the heat of it wasn't always natural for his thick coat. This place, it was a part of them now, it was home in a way even the Prairie was not. “Cliffs” Glacier said easily, he loved their cliff top sanctuary, the beloved spot of their youngest litter. He started in the direction of the hidden den entrance, they had once found together. “Your little ones are going to be running around this terratory soon” he said thoughtfully, almost bewildered at the idea. More children running through their territory... he loved the idea. Somewhere along the way, he had come to adore children. "Burn Baby Burn" |
