Just because he belonged to a pack now, doesn't mean that he couldn't travel. Right? He had spent a good part of his life now alone, and being in the packlands felt almost claustrophobic. There was nothing small about Borealis, aside from its member base, but that was something that could easily be solved. And yet, he needed to get out, needed to breathe in some fresh air somewhere else. So he had left the pack when it seemed nothing was happening, and wandered around. It was aimless, really, but then again everything about Arcus seemed to be aimless. Ever since the start, just a roaming storm crashing down over whatever land he found himself in. But he knew he was nothing more than a loud voice, a deep growl. He didn't have the lightning, he didn't have the rain, he was just...noise.

Pathetic, wasn't it?

With a growl, he sat before the river, staring into it's depths. Pest was sitting on his shoulder blade, pruning his feathers and trying to be quiet. The Bird was stupid, but it knew when to be quiet in order to survive Arcus' temperament. He had come too close to losing his feathers to Arcus' teeth. "Have you heard from Shaye?" The brute whispered, his lone eye soft and staring at Pest in the waters reflection. There was something so vulnerable about the way he had said it, something broken beneath the rumbles, that had the bird tilting its head and twittering his negative. No, he hadn't heard from the gentle female and her bird. With a sigh, Arcus turned to look back at the waters, staring at the twisting scars along his face. A beast, really. "Good..." He whispered, defeated, as he shrugged his bird from his perch. Without another sound, Pest flew off, knowing Arcus didn't want him around.

She had been lingering by the borders of the pack that sat beside Dono, trying to catch Arcus by the borders. She could just wander in, take on anyone who dared stop her. The flame dusted woman didn't mind sinking her teeth into someone, it had been a few days since she had stretched her legs. It would seem that Serefina had dozed off though, and her head snapped upwards. Dammit! Had Arcus been by? Sniffing the air, she picked up his smell leading away from the borders. Shit, she had missed him. Shaking the leaves out of her fur -- she had been hiding within a bush -- the Elemantas began to stalk her younger brother. Why exactly did she was to see him? Cause she was nosy, and he was in another pack. Did their brothers allow that? That is what she wanted to know. Long limbs ate up the ground as she followed him, it didn't take too long for her to see his form by the river. Serefina blinked when she saw his bird fly off, sneaking up beside him. Her reflection appeared beside his when she came up next to him, looking down into the water as well. That is when she noticed his scared eye, her ember eyes growing wide as her ears twitched. "And I thought I was the only tough shit in the family," she teased, trying to bump her shoulder against his left side. "What happened, mister gray cloud, run into a tree? Or should I see the other guy first?" Yeah, so what if she wasn't the best sister. Bite her for it, she didn't care.

Arcy was fuming beneath his personal raincloud when she sidled up beside him. He blinked in surprise when her firey face showed up in the the water. He hadn't seen her in so long, in years. He couldn't help but be extremely shocked when she appeared. Serefina. He stared at her in their reflection, his eye narrowing when the shock spread across her face. Ah, and the teasing. He growled softly, turning his gaze pointedly away from her to stare back at the water. "Someone tried to eat my bird." He rumbled deep in his chest, shifting on his paws as he stared at the twisting scars, gruesome and old. "Guess I gave them something else to eat instead." He huffed before lifting his head to turn towards her.

"What are you doing here? Usually you're glued to Voltage's precious side." He said then, glaring before he noticed the stark yellow against her shoulder. And he laughed, deeply, shaking his head. "Ah, I see. You don't need to always be at his side cause you got something to remember him by." He looked away again, his jaw clenching. Oh, he hated Voltage. Wait...if Serefina was here. "Please don't tell me he's here." He said with a groan, looking over his shoulder to look behind them.

He looked away from her reflection to look back at himself, saying something about trying to eat his bird. She blinked her ember eyes, her head pulling up to look off where the bird flew off. "I thought you hated that thing... You did name it Pest," she said with a snort, ears flickering. He beat even her in being grumpy, stating that he gave him something else to eat. Sere snorted, shaking her head slowly back and forth. "Poor little brother, lost his eye. You should have taken his nose in retaliation." she offered, thinking fondly back to when she took that trespassers nose clean off. There was never a moment in her life that she had been that proud, and it had earned her her higher rank. Before she left, of course.

Conversation soon turned when he looked up at her, stating that she was always glued to Volt's side. She growled at him, lips curling back to show off her teeth. She was not glued to his side. "I left before you ding dong," she snarled, flame licked tail flickering behind him. Arcus eyed her dyed lightening bolt, saying that she had a piece of him with her always. "You talk like he is gone or something. I mean sure, he is different since his daughters disappeared but come on. He didn't even tell me that he had another litter. No, I had to find that out for myself when she trespassed into your new pack," Serefina added, her eyes narrowing as she gazed at him. There was obvious hurt in her face. Even though it had been her decision to leave in the first place, she would have thought that he would have come to find her. A whole new litter! Was she not special enough to know? Or was he just still hurting over his first girls? He groaned and asked if he was here, to which she just shook her head to. "Speaking of new pack, how the hell did you leave Dono? And then you just decide to up and join the pack next door?"

Arcus huffed at the bird comment, shaking his head slightly. "He's useful." He said then, shrugging his shoulders gently. Pest was his only link to Shaye, but it seemed that that link was closing. He snorted as she teased him, again. But really, it was a horrible joke. He just lifted slate blue eye to glare in her direction. "Only having one eye means I dont have to see you as much." He said in a deep growl. Well, that was pathetic wasn't it.

He bared his teeth slightly then, staring back at their relection. She had left before him, yeah, but he didn't think it was forever. Didn't she just return to the island after Voltage said that their parents were dead? He had left soon after that. "Why didn't you go back?" He said softly, his deep voice gentle in the curious question as he lifted his gaze back to her. He didn't get it. "You two are like best friends. Didn't think you could live so long without him."  He said with a huff, staring at her. And then he laughed again. "God forbid he died. Man, the world may just implode without him fixing everything." He seethed, staring fully at her. His anger towards his yellow marked brother had had two years to fester and grow, and now he outright hated him. But then he blinked at the news he had never recieved. Wait a second. "He's had kids?" He asked softly, staring at her. And then he remembered a girl he had met, so long ago now. "Was one of them brownish with Voltage's markings?" He asked absently, thinking back on Current and how he had taught her to hunt. It made sense...

He was so deep in thought that her last question caught him off guard, and he looked back up at her. "Nah, I just left." He said in a deep rumble, the anger filling his face again. "I couldn't take it anymore. I was nothing but a trophy to them. They were so great cause they rescued us. Whoop de doo. So I packed my stupid bird and ditched. Was a loner for two years. As for the new pack, well..." He'd grin a toothy grin, something that seemed to run in the family as he looked up at her, anger in his eye. "I thought it'd be a blast."

It would seem that Arcus needed to work on his insults. She just laughed at him, nose wrinkling upwards at his poor excuse for a jest. "You only need one eye to take in all my beauty, dear brother," she said with another laugh, the tip of her tongue sticking out between her teeth as she gazed at him. Taking on a more serious note, she tilted her head to the side and let out a soft huff. "It also means you have a blind side, and could miss attacks coming from that side. You almost have to relearn how to fight with just one eye," she mused out loud. He would need to learn to keep his head tilted towards his opponent so that they didn't catch his blind side. It was a hindrance on any fighter, that was for sure. Quicker on his paws, and he would have to use his ears more. Make sure that he was never caught off guard, dodging and then passing blows when he was coming out from behind them. All these ideas swirled in her mind, but she was cut off when all the huffing and snarling started.

When he asked why she didn't go back, Sere let out a huge sigh and flopped onto her rump. Her red marked tail curled around her, and she too looked back at their reflections. "I dunno. I was... angry I guess. Didn't feel like I belonged. And honestly, it was getting a little stuffy on that beach," she stuttered as she thought about the water, almost retching at the thought. "I needed to stretch my legs and just... find myself I suppose. Really figure out what I want and all that sappy bullshit," she said with a shrug. He quickly moved on to shoving her and Voltage together again, and the woman just rolled her eyes at her younger brother. "We understand each other, and he's the only one of you guys that has been able to really handle my flaming tongue. He can take what I can dish out, not all the others are like that," she said, thinking back to Locha and her other brothers and sisters. Locha was such a lover, and Sere could easily burn her. Gale was a tough cookie, she could probably handle her own. Not that she even really interacted with her family much. Not outside of Voltage and Glacier. Their oldest brothers were like two peas in a pod, but it was even harder to push away Volt and Sere. They should have been twins, the way that they were connected. It was true, she probably would lose it without him. But that didn't mean that she couldn't stand on her own four legs for awhile. It had been nice to be away for a spell, even though she missed him dearly. It did hurt that he hadn't bothered to come look for her when his mate gave birth to another litter. What really shocked her though was that Arcus had no idea he had kids to begin with. He asked about a brown and yellow girl, making her nod her head. "Current, yeah. Illume saved Current from drowning, but was taken by the ocean. They haven't been able to find her, and Current went off on her own. I guess he just had a second litter too," she shrugged again, not really knowing what else to say.

Soon the conversation switched over to him and not her, causing Serefina to look over at him again. He had just left, just like that? Mm, she had to admit, that was surprising. Anger took over his gray features once again, making her smirk in amusement. He was a trophy? Rescued? The girl blinked in confusion, head falling to one side by default as she tried to figure him out. "What the hell are you talking about?" she asked, tail thumping on the ground slightly. And he joined the other pack cause... it would be fun. Oh boy. Her family was full of fun characters, wasn't it?
