Bacchus had lost the fight for Fiori, and that had been the last time Archelaus had seen any of his family. Even then, they hadn't really spoken. They weren't able to. But hopefully the silver male could rejoin them. Besides, he needed to know what great things they had done while he was away. So, with these thoughts, the male set out towards Fiori territory. Yes, he was the tiniest bit nervous, but he pushed it down. He didn't know what he was worried about, exactly. This was his family. Nothing bad was going to happen.

Lost in his thoughts, Archelaus almost walked right over the border. One dark gray paw was pushed out, and his ruby gaze searched for any family in the distance. Upon not seeing any, the silver male raised his head, howling for either of his mothers. When it faded into silence, Archelaus sat down neatly.

All he had to do for now was wait.

Amalia Jayne Adravendi-Mathias

Amalia was covered in dirt up to her knees, having to dig far into the earth to get the dandelion root that she had been hunting for. It was so deeply buried that she really had to chase after it. Her head was in the earth when one of her sons howled, making her leap out of the hole and look towards the borders. She hadn't seen Archie since the challenge, and she was glad that he was here now. Letting out a deep breath she trotted towards where he had called, a small smile on her face. Usually she was a lot more chipper, but as of late she was struggling with many emotions. Ama had a feeling that she would need to find Bacchus and speak to him to really calm her heart. Letting out a sigh, she saw the tall gray man and her smile grew. Without saying anything she raced to his side, pressing her coloured face into the underside of his chest. Breathing in his familiar scent, a part of her was finally able to relax. Out of all her boys, only Tib had remained with them since they moved down from the North, which made her feel even more guilty. Was it all her fault, that their family had broken up? Ears pulled back slightly and she swallowed that thought, just pressing into her son.

Archelaus wouldn't have to wait long for Amalia to appear, his gaze spotting her in the distance. His tail began to wag slightly, but he would not allow himself to cross the border to meet her. Not after the challenge for Fiori. Archelaus wasn't sure how Bacchus was, or Leo. A soft sigh would come from Archelaus as he waited on his mother to close the distance. As she got closer, Archelaus noticed her small smile widen, and a small smile appeared on his jaw as well. The silver male made up his mind that if he could help it, he would not leave his family again. He would stay with them as long as he could. And maybe, some day Bacchus could be convinced to join them.

As his mother got closer, she would press her face into his fur, and Archelaus hesitated for a moment, trying to think of what to say. The silver male had never been good at comforting others, and he knew that neither of his mothers would be perfectly find after the challenge. After a moment or two, he spoke, his words hesitant. "I'm sorry." He hadn't really said what he was sorry for, which was mostly leaving his family behind. Archelaus was certainly not a wolf many for comforting others, that was for sure. "I'm not going to leave again." That was the silver male's way of saying that he was going to join the pack, he supposed, and must've be as active as he could.

Amalia Jayne Adravendi-Mathias

The silence spread between them, but the tiny woman didn't have a care in the world about it. She was just glad that her boys seemed to be slowly returning, that her daughters would have another one of their siblings in their life. When Archie finally broke the quiet atmosphere around them, she blinked up at him, a frown pulling her lips downwards. "What do you have to be sorry for, my love?" she asked, a touch of confusion in her vocals. Amalia wasn't mad about anything that he had done, and she didn't hold him accountable for the mistakes of his litter mates. He was his own wolf, and there was no ill-will between them. Ama would love her kids no matter what happened. Disappointment... well that was something else entirely. Her ears pulled back slightly as she thought of Bacchus, but tried to push it away. This was her time with another one of her boys, there was no need to taint her mood with things that were so far out of her control. She sighed softly, pressing back into his tall blue form, drinking in his scent. It was familiar and yet not at the same time, his time away from home stripping the scent of Fiori from his coat. But her little boy was still there, and the thought made her smile as her dark blue eyes slipped closed once more.

"Does that mean you are going to rejoin Fiori?" she asked softly, not moving from her position pressed into him. She felt like she was going to swallowed up by his massive frame, but it was something that she was used to. It made her feel safe and warm, tucked up into his furry chest. "I've missed you, Archie. And I love you with all my heart," Amalia whispered softly, finally pulling back from him. When she opened her eyes they were a touch misty, but there was a large smile on her maw. At last, everything seemed to be slowly falling into place. "Your sisters want to meet you."
