Sei la forza necessaria

Starling stood on the precipice. His toes dangled over the edge just enough to boost the adrenaline coursing through his blood. He could feel his heart pound so clearly in his chest as he stared out at the ocean infront of him. The salt kissed wind combed through his fur, as if mother nature were carressing him, trying to push away the worries that lined his face. He could feel it in his brows, feel the frustrated tears that refused to leave his eyes, feel the tightness along his cheeks and in his jaw as he stared. But each brush of wind, each carress of invisible fingers helped release the tension. A little by little until he closed his eyes and just succumbed to the breeze. He had found this place on a fluke. He had been searching for rare herbs to add to his bag, and Stella had decided that this specific trail would lead them to the thing that they were looking for. And in a way, she was right. The second he had seen the soft paintings of the sunset on the horizon, saw the great sun move to lay behind the ocean, he felt speechless. The pinks and purples and blues that coated the sky were slowly darkening, giving way to dusk and the first speckles of starlight. The ocean was calm, and the wind gentle, and before he had known it he was standing at the edge of the cliffs just staring out at the beauty of the world. Over the past year of his life, Starling had worried and worried and fretted and felt guilty over everything. He hadn't been able to sleep soundly for months, worrying so terribly that his heart would race and before he could stop it the frustrated tears would return to his eyes. It was getting far too overwhelming, and each day that went by he felt like he had fallen deeper and deeper into this chasm. He only hoped that someday, someday soon, he might feel as peaceful as this sunset, that he might be able to forget his worries and just live happily, like he wanted too. One day, he hoped he might get his own sunset. "Burn Baby Burn" || "Bruciare Bambino Bruciare" |
