Why Do Things Change?

The child was afraid. She couldn’t find her mother, no matter how much she had searched, and searched, and searched... And Borealis... She felt tears sting her eyes as she stood in the deserted packlands, her legs trembling. She was sick, but not with the same sickness that had taken over most of Boreas during the Autumn. She was sick with a sickness of the heart. Her heart was the sickest part of her body right now, longing for her family... But she had no clues. No leads on where to go.

Kait sunk to the ground, misery her only company at that moment in time. She heaved a soft sigh, closing her orbs. She felt alone... Empty. She had thought to herself if she could bring Marina back she’d be doing a favor for her siblings. She knew what Ren had said but... She wasn’t able to accept the truth. Now there didn’t seem to be any signs of the rainbow marked woman at all. Her body shook, her green eyes misting with tears.

Would things ever be the same again?

A cough left her form and Kaitlyn curled up quietly. She was tired... She wanted to sleep. Eyes closing Kait allowed herself to do just that, hoping that, at least in her dreams, her family would visit her.
