ooc: set before festival

She hadn't yet explored the plain, or at least as much as she would have liked to. Green paws skirted around the cypress trees as the alphess wandered closer to the water's edge, guided by the scent of seafood. Her mind cast itself back to her past, her memories. She once had a thing for exploring, a thirst to see new lands, to let her paws wander and take her anywhere. It seemed like every day was an adventure, an exciting chapter of her life. Belonging to a pack once again wasn't the same. Leading one was completely different. Yes, she enjoyed the willows, and she could quite confidently call the forest her home, but sometimes the confinement got to her. Seeing the same trees, treading on the same soil, hearing the same sounds, smelling the same scents - such monotony. Adding the plain to Myriad's territories was a bonus, she supposed. A new world for her to see, though soon it would be oh-so-familiar. How large could Myriad possibly grow to be? How many more territories would the pack gain?
