These are the best days of my life

Leo padded alongside the river of crashing water that spilled through his pack's territory, his eyes tracing each waterfall as he walked past it. He was glad that he had gotten to speak with Valefor for a moment the other day. That was certainly a step in the right direction. But he also realized that there were more wolves that he hardly got a chance to have real conversations with. What bothered him the most was the fact that among this list of wolves were his own children. Now that they were old enough to be on their own he was seeing them less and less. He knew that's how nature worked. Pups learned from their parents and their parents protected them while they were small and once they were old enough to protect themselves they left the nest to begin their own journeys. That didn't mean he liked it though. He smiled a little to himself and paused in a flatter portion of the land near the falls, lifting his head to howl for his children. Perhaps they wouldn't mind taking a moment to join him for a family meeting.

Alfred To Family
This newer addition to the territory of Fiori was something Alfred had not yet gotten used to. The sounds of the water were comforting though as he lay by the water. But when his father called for him and his siblings Alfie rose immediately. Though the boy was getting older he was far from ready to give up sticking close to his family. He wanted to stick close to his father particularly, helping him with the pack. While Alfie wasn’t particularly interested in leading himself he certainly didn’t mind the thought of being in the position of an aid or something.

Paws lead the boy to where his father had called, excitement in his steps when he saw he was the first one to answer Leo’s call. He bounded over to his father and carefully sat beside him. He was pretty much at his full height now, being even taller than his father was. The boy didn’t feel like it though, and glanced towards his remaining parent with a happy smile, tail wagging behind him.
“Hiya dad~” The young man grinned, his gaze playful. “What’s on the agenda for today?”
"Speech"

The young male had felt rather awful lately. He'd come down with a severe case of the "sniffles" (sniffles being an understatement) and had confined himself to an empty den he'd found away from anyone. It wasn't until recently that he'd begun to feel better and once he'd left his solitary confinement he couldn't help but wonder what he'd missed. There hadn't been a pack meeting or anything so that was good at least. He felt horrible for not actually being able to do anything. He had a severe amount of cabin fever so it hadn't taken a second thought for him to exit the den and try to go find something to do. To his glee, a howl from Leo rang out across from the falls calling for him and his siblings. His tail waved softly at the thought of being able to see his family now that he wasn't sick. His pace picked up to a lope as he raced towards their father. His familiar brown form came into view by the falls and Alfred had already joined him. His eyes searched around for their sisters but it didn't seem they'd made it yet. Hmm. Maybe they'd make it later. He padded over to Leo and Alfred and grinned. "Hey Dad, hey Alfie." He'd greet them both before sitting next to his sibling. Walk, "Talk" Think |
