A tiny frame moved among the draping branches, she had no real destination in mind. Okay that was a lie, she knew exactly where she wanted to start her search for the silver man but she wasn't sure she could make the trip alone. Not because she didn't think she could physically do it but she feared what she might find... what if she couldn't find any trace of him? Worse yet what if he was there and she had to face him with the knowledge she had abandoned him when he needed her most because of the cruel words of a girl.

The worst scenario involved the purple woman languidly draped over his side, sneering at her and reminding her shining knight that she had abandoned him because she was too weak to take some minor teasing.

Stop! Luck mentally commanded herself, shaking her head and stopping her forwards movement. The girl breathed an exasperated sigh and plopped herself down on her haunches, a comically dark look descending on her delicate features.

Peregrine was allowing herself a lazy day. Tsiry had wandered off in search of a meal, so the only company she had was the spring breeze was blowing about the willow branches. Peregrine was having a grand old time laying out beneath them. She would roll from one side to the other from time to time, and occasionally sit up for a scratch, but for the most part it had been utterly relaxing. When she noticed the arrival of another fae, she was tempted to stay there below the radar. It was hard to make out her form, obscured as they both were among the willows, but there was something in the set of her body that spoke of sadness. Peregrine frowned, considering for a moment before she sighed. Just loud enough to hear she called out, "Hello there!" It was an awfully bland greeting for her so she tacked on a, "What's a sweet thing like you doing moping around in a place like this?" It was far too pretty for moping, after all, and she was willing to execute as much crude humor as it took to turn that around. Challenge accepted!

Wrapped up in her thoughts as she was when an unknown voice broke through the silence Luck squeaked and jumped. She swung wildly around till her gaze finally fell upon another wolf. The stranger was younger than she was but as she had grown to expect, though it annoyed her to find it in one younger than she was, the other female was visible bigger than Luck. The small girl's ear twitched as the stranger spoke and she felt a slight unease settle in her stomach though she did her best to hide it, which is to say she grimaced briefly.
“Well- I uh- I don't really know.” It was a lame excuse, and also true. She wasn't sure why she was here, a place that reminded her of her first meeting with Bacchus, and why she was moping.

The other woman seemed genuinely unhappy to see a stranger intruding on her brooding. Luckily for them both Peregrine had never been the most sensitive to the feelings of others, especially when she was interested in something. True to form, she completely ignored all signs of the woman's discomfort. "You don't know? Sounds like you're lost, friend!" Peregrine smiled at her like it was funny, and to her it kind of was a little bit. You know, from an objective point of view, and only because she herself was so familiar with the feeling. "My name is Peregrine. I might be able to point you where you're going, if you like." Sure enough, she'd spent a fair bit of time scouring this realm while it slept in the season past. She felt a growing familiarity for many of the regions, but there was always more work to be done. If the older fae needed an escort, what kind of chivalrous citizen of the realm would she be to turn her away? Besides, Peregrine was picking up a vibe of "easy to ruffle" and she was on that like flies on shit. Maybe today wouldn't be so dull after all...

Much to Luck's growing anxiety the younger wolf pressed on regardless of her non-committal answer. She just wanted to be left alone with her thoughts, was that too much to ask? As it turned out, yes, it was. She dropped her gaze, feeling the nervousness quell some as she ignored the gaze of the other woman. “Maybe I am?” She mumbled, more to herself than to the newcomer. She wasn't really lost in a directional sense, but rather in the labyrinth of her own brooding thoughts.

Luck allowed her brilliant blues to slide back up briefly as the younger woman introduced herself, then followed that up with a proposition. “No!” Her normally soft and sweet voice pitched violently into a screech. She stood, stock still for a moment before breathing a sigh and clearing her throat. “I'm sorry, I mean-” She took another deep breath. “I'm Luck, that's a very nice offer but I'm not exactly eager to get to my ultimate destination.” Luck shifted nervously, gaze once more avoiding the other wolf, instead pointed directly at her paws.

Okay yeah, this dame definitely wanted nothing to do with her. Maybe Pere really ought to leave her alone... She chewed on that thought for a moment before coming to the conclusion that this woman was free to leave any time, right? That would be her decision. Peregrine's offer of assistance was met with sudden, nigh violent, refusal. She was puzzled by the sudden outburst but tried not to let it show. "No need to apologize," Peregrine said quickly. "Not that it's any of my business, but that doesn't sound like a worthwhile destination in that case. Why not head somewhere totally different? I wouldn't go anywhere near a place that made me feel the way you seem to." She offered a gentle smile, a rare enough thing for her, one lacking most of her usual mischief.

If this woman was honor or duty bound to be in one place but she yearned for another, well... Who's to say whether the heart or the head had the right of it? Again, not that it was any of her business. She looked around them, and the gently swaying willow fronds and listen to the wind moving amongst their branches. "After all," she began again, still in a soft voice. "This place is lovely. I may never leave!" She'd rather set the woman at ease, if she was able. She was really harshing Pere's mellow, and the mercurial woman couldn't allow that to happen, now could she?
