A Tiny Little Acorn
Kavdaya Of The Nomads |
It wasn’t long after the Healing Lesson that she called for Rasiel in the wide area of the ravine, just outside the entrance to the Adravendi den cave. She intended to teach them all what she knew; as much as they could take in and remember. First, she wanted to give them one on one lessons, but eventually, she’d take them all in a group. So as she sat down, waiting for the bright young girl to arrive, she ran over what she’d teach today.
For now, plants would be set aside. Today, she wanted to run Rasiel through what she should do in an emergency if plants couldn’t be readily reached. How to bind a broken leg might be a little too soon, but how to stop a cut from bleeding might be easier to understand. It was as simple as putting your paws over a wound and applying pressure for several minutes, until you could find a plant or cobwebs to put over the injury.
Too, she would bring out the plants, or take Rasiel out to find some, that would be good for staunching bleeding. She’d just have to see.

The young girl arrived to find the healer waiting for her. Her gaze shifted to Kavdaya, wiggling in place. “Can we explore as you teach me Kav? Pleeeeeaseeeee?” The little girl’s abundance of energy was already shining through. Her ears perked forward and her bright blue eyes looked around. “How many useful plants grow in our territory? Are there any bad ones I should watch out for too?” Questions were already leaving her mouth and it was almost any wonder at times she could focus long enough to learn.
