A Pierced Heart

Clouds were building in the east, thick, dense and gray. The western sun was casting it's orange light upon the dusky hues as the storm rolled along the plains away from the lone woman. Birna gazed across the steppe. Where was she going? What was she doing? How had she once again ended up with no purpose in her life? Frustration rumbled in her chest and slipped between her fangs in a growl. She needed to make a move. Something. Anything. This just wasn't the life for her and she had two options. Join a pack or search for her brother. Well she'd tried the later and hadn't uncovered anything but that wasn't all that surprising. They'd separated years ago and the world was vast. She'd never find him. |
