The journey back to Celestial hadn't been too awful. It was a little hot at times, but overall it had been an easy trek. Adrian's company had been much preferred than being alone and it was nice to have someone to hunt and talk with on one of her escapades. Granted they weren't going to some place new like she usually did and instead were heading back to Celestial to meet her brother. She wasn't nervous at all, but occasionally she'd find herself glancing at her tan coated companion to see if he was. He had no doubt that Regulus would approve of Adrian and if he didn't she was probably going to ask Reg if he'd been possessed while she was gone.

She'd already explained a bit more of the basic laws of Celestial. Don't allow trespassers, pull your own weight, show up for meetings, and practice where you could and overall you'd be golden. Celestial was an easy place to live in and she could only hope it suited Adrian. She wished for him to be happy here, but she understood if it wasn't compatible with him. Not all wolves were built for pack life and she wouldn't fret over it. In the mean time she was just trying to think of ways to make him most comfortable so he could adjust to life in the pack if Regulus allowed him in.

When they arrived, instead of stopping at the borders, she slipped past them at an easy trot and motioned with her tail for Adrian to follow. She had yet to tell him what Regulus looked like and she had to hold in a chuckle. She wanted to see the surprise on his face when he saw a bright red giant standing before him. Regulus was the only one out of them that had such odd coloring. Baine was probably the closest since she was kind of pinkish, but that's only because she was an albino. The rest of them took after their mother, save for her, the only one who took after Falk.

She'd slow and pause under the shade of some trees. They weren't too awfully far from the borders, but it was best to wait here and call for Regulus. She didn't want the rest of the pack showing up and overwhelming him once they picked up the scent of a loner in their lands. She'd find a nice place to sit and smiled at Adrian, inviting him to come enjoy the shade, before she tipped her head back and called for Regulus. Now all they had to do was wait.

Travelling with another was certainly not something he was accustomed to, but he found that he much preferred it over being alone. Even if he was not exactly an avid conversationalist, the mere presence of another was nice. That was true without even mentioning the added benefits; easier hunting, for one. The longer he traveled with Faite, the more certain he became that he had made the right choice in pursuing this avenue of opportunity. Still, that did not ease the nervousness Adrian felt. Most of his time had been spent thinking.

Should he attempt to prepare responses, or a speech for this meeting that was sure to come? While ordinarily that might seem like a wise idea, here he did not believe it would be necessary. From what his companion had described, the pack seemed to be structured around honor and integrity, two values which were central to his beliefs as well, so he had no intention of otherwise betraying them. So in the interest of building trust, he would be completely honest. That seemed like the best approach he could take.

Once he detected the obvious signs of a pack nearby, the tan wolf knew they were getting close. Were it not for his being in the presence of Faite, he would have already turned and gone another way. Adrian allowed her to guide him into the pack territory, though he proceeded with increased caution. He did not want anything to surprise him. He had yet to see anyone just yet, but the scents were very obvious. When she paused beneath the limbs of a tree, he found he was grateful. He had not realized just how hot the sun was until he'd stepped beneath the shade.

A call, presumably for her brother went up from his companion, who had adopted a seated position near the tree to wait. Probably a wise idea not to go any further with someone who was a complete stranger to the rest of her group. Though she seemed incredibly at ease, he could not quite relax that much, himself. He would force himself to sit back. She did not tell him what her sibling looked like, but that did not stop his eyes and ears from flickering in every direction while waiting for the first sign of someone.

His sister had been gone for a few days – off scouting for new members – and he’d holding down things at home; patrolling comfortably and ensuring their borders were strongly stamped with his mark. Still, he was glad when he heard her call. It sounded like she was in a good mood, too. He’d been resting in the shade of the old dead oak by the meeting boulder, stretched out in a puddle of crimson fur, patrols dealt with for the mid-day, and as he rolled to his paws and leapt from the boulder, he shook out his coat, tail and head rising to their easy, casual positions of laid-back authority.

He carried himself in an easy trot toward the call, ignoring the sweltering sun overhead; he was used to it, despite having a thick coat. As the two figures came into view, he barked lightly, greeting his sister with a warm smile before those fathomless sapphire eyes settled on the male she’d brought home. His expression didn’t lose any warmth, but those eyes sized up the male with interest, his own tail waving slightly in approval before his dipped his head in an easy nod to the male.

"Welcome to Celestial. I am Regulus Adravendi, Archangel of the pack.” His jaws parted in a grin as he finished his rumbled introduction, lowering his haunches to the ground as he looked at his sister. “Good trip?”

She'd sit back and wait with him. He was unnaturally quiet but she'd already grown used to it from her companion. She didn't mind being the one who talked, in fact she felt like she talked too much, but she was happy to be the one to fill the silence. She noticed his eyes and ears flicking around as they waited for Regulus and she tried to stifle the smirk that threatened to break free. She really couldn't wait to see the look on his face. Had he met any wolves as large and colorful as her brother? For her own entertainment she hoped not, but she wasn't going to be sad if he had.

His bark was what caught her attention. An easy smile pulled at her lips and her tail waved in the soft grass underneath her as he approached. He seemed pleased to see her. She'd told him where she was running off to before she'd left, but she hadn't intended to be gone so long. She was pleased with her efforts though and was more than happy she'd managed to bring someone home to show for it.

His eyes would flick to her companion and she watched as, presumably, he sized Adrian up. Regulus would introduce himself and her gaze would go towards Adrian. She certainly didn't want to miss his expression. Shed glance towards Regulus as he looked at her, but she remained silent and would instead leave the talking to Adrian. As eager as she was to introduce him she didn't want to be rude.

He would take a moment simply to close his eyes and attempt to focus himself. He did not want to be putting on any sort of act for this. He did not need to be anything other than his honest self. After all, the worst that could happen was that he would be turned away and would have to go back to the life he'd lived previously. After a deep breath, he opened his eyes again, feeling better than he had before. Faite had remained silent which was rather unlike her, though he could feel her eyes on him at times.

It did not take very long at all for her call to be answered by another, which drew Adrian's attention to the red figure moving swiftly in their direction. He blinked. Red. A red wolf. His coat a similar color to the sky as it would sometimes appear early in the morning. Or a more accurate comparison, to bright crimson blood. To Faite it was probably quite normal, but to him this was incredibly out of the ordinary. He couldn't imagine the coat was very easy to conceal. It would probably stand out against almost any background, perhaps making hunting or stealth missions more difficult.

He shook his head. There he went, already overthinking things. The red wolf certainly carried himself like a leader, with a stature of confidence and pride. The color of his coat, coupled with his size which became more clear as he approached certainly gave him an intimidating look. The particular color of his eyes stood out, and it was perhaps because of this stark contrast between sapphire and red that Adrian could not avert his gaze. Not that he had wanted to.

Regulus's words seemed accepting and inviting. He introduced his full name, also offering his title. Archangel must have been the formal term for his position as leader. That was good to know. He also seemed pleased to see his sister, though Faite had yet to actually say anything. He supposed she was leaving it up to him to talk first. He could do that.

"I thank you for your welcome. My name is Adrian." He would speak, returning the nod with one of his own. "Faite has already told me a few things about your pack, so I decided to accompany her, to learn more." There was no doubt Regulus already truly knew why Adrian was here, but it seemed best to be as thorough and truthful in this response as was possible. The smaller details could be important. They always were for him.
