So Wrong, Yet So Right

Little did she know that her father had returned, and that they'd been living in the same pack for some time. He'd been gone a long time, so she didn't recognize his scent every time she crossed it. The small girl moved slowly through the mangrove, the night warm but not unbearably hot like it was in the day time. She didn't know what she was doing here, why she came. Well, maybe that part was obvious. She was scared that the man who attacked her would come back. She didn't know he was dead, all she remembered was that he hurt her, and he'd do it again.
That was why she never talked to...it. The boy she had brought with her, the only child she ever had. She hadn't wanted it like that, and even though it was so long ago, she still couldn't look at him. She'd never told Leo anything about him, or why she didn't have a mate, or what had happened. But, would it have mattered? She was unfit to be a mom. While she was at that age, her mind just wasn't ready. So she sat there, the girl unhappy once again. Unsure about what to do.
