The brute's ebony form trudged into the area where Maria was located, a large leaf carrying varieties of herbs and berries to use to dye the sunflower maiden's pelt. His crimson orbs shimmered in the sunlight that glistened off of them when he caught sight of the wolfess sitting next to the clear, serene body of water that plummeted down into a lake below. She looked absolutely breath-taking in his eyes, but he shook the thought aside as he stopped and gave a small bark to tell her that he had come back. He, also, had found a beautiful silver band that he would give to Maria, however that would be until later. "I'm back, Maria. Are you ready to have your fur dyed?" He would smile, his crimson orbs meeting the cerulean optics that were the maiden's own eyes. Shadow would gulp quietly as he felt heat rush into his cheeks as luckily his blush was hidden by the fur that covered his face. He would quickly turn and begin to mash the herbs and berries together to make the dye, keeping his ears forward so he could Maria speak to him if she needed to. Speech Thought Others

The crash of the falls was relaxing to the maiden, a sound that she had grown used to since they’d come here. Myriad had fallen, not long after they joined up. Unsure of what to do the female and male decided to ultimately leave. It seemed they were not the only ones to make that decision… but who could say for sure? Maria did feel a bit guilty, especially after swearing loyalty… but what good was loyalty to someone who couldn’t keep their pack safe?

Upon hearing Shadow’s voice Maria perked her ears, turning her attention towards her beloved mate. Her eyes shown, though she was a bit nervous, she was excited as well. The femme dipped her head, speaking in a calm, clear voice. “Of course.” She rose from where she was laying, coming up beside Shadow and gently nuzzling his shoulder with her nose. “Thank you for doing this, Shadow. I know it’s… a bit of an odd request.” The femme’s words were soft.

Shadow gave a small smile, eyes showing with both protectiveness and love to the maiden who was before him. The berries that he had mashed up would make for a good dye to use for her fur as he brought the leaf he used over to her. He could not help but feel happy and relaxed when he was with her. For once in his life, he was happy and felt what it actually meant to be loved in quite a long while.

He dipped his paw into the berries, placing the blue-colored dye under her eyes, making sure not to hurt her eye doing so. For some reason, he felt compelled to put the dye in specific places that he thought would look nice upon her. He would then gently pick up the tip of her tail, placing it in the dye as the blue substance surrounded the sunflower maiden's tail, soon taking it out to let it try and soon, finishing it off, placing blue dye on her back. When the dye was waiting to be dried, he would give her a gentle nudge on the shoulder.

He would hide in front of the green leaf he used to bring the dye as behind him, a silver band lay as he would make his mateship with Maria official with it. That was what his pack always did when one was to be wed, and that was a custom he wanted to keep using.
