Summer was weird. It was too hot or not hot enough, it was too cold or not cold enough. There was no in between, but at least within Celestial's pack lands she was able to be... here. She was able to be present within the pack and not... away. Wolfpaw lake. It wasn't terrible. It honestly wasn't terrible, and she was... prepared. Not prepared. Fortune couldn't keep track of what her head was doing, but Celestial would be home soon enough. Maybe she'd even be their master hunter some day soon. Home.

It was a feeling she wasn't sure about, but she settles at the edge of the lake. A home feeling. There's something that comes with being in a place where your entire family is. She'd gone from one home place to another. Summer heat shines down on her coat, keeping it trapped within the fluff. Right. Hot summer days. Fortune is still processing what home is supposed to feel like.

Everyone her age was running off and falling in love. Instead, she was here, wrapped up in her concern for her family and her career. Right. That would be Fortune.
