What now?

The tri-colored woman had sat and leaned herself against the base of one of the many palm trees that covered the beach. Being the middle of autumn she was sure the water might be alright, but she wasn't in the mood for a swim nor was she willing to find out. She wasn't in the mood for much to be honest with herself. Since her translated words with Xephyris she didn't even know what to do with herself. Sharing wasn't something she had ever accomplished when she was young and she wasn't about to change now, not on something so important to her. She hoped her words would eventually change his mind, maybe even a bit of half assed flirting with other men would make him see things in a new light but she refused to get her hopes up again.
She had followed him around for this long and now she didn't know if she should stick around. If she stayed she would have the deep burning desire to tear apart that brown witch whom she had far worse name's for. Forced to watch her poses everything Soleil had wanted for herself since discovering her need for the man's closeness when her mood was dark and even when all she wanted to do was be silly she wanted to be herself with him. The woman didn't know if she would find that again but she also didn't know if her control was strong enough to keep her from either kicking that witch's behind or if she would find herself bloody and limping away in shame of her failure to avenge herself.
Soleil felt betrayed, felt as though she was replaced by a woman who didn't deserve anything he had given her. But what now? What was she suppose to do when the man she was now suppose to call alpha only clamed to care for her but held other women above her. Once more in her life she wouldn't know what to do or how to fix the problem. She couldn't fix her father's desire for success, she couldn't fix her sister's leg and she couldn't fix the wounds her father had inflicted on her mother. How was she suppose to fix this. The only thing that had mattered to her for the year or so of her life was crumbling beneath her paws all because she couldn't speak the damn language. She liked to think had she known the silver man had lied to Riv the day she followed him to Myraid that she would had turned down staying. That she would have turned, left and never looked back. But even then she knew she liked him.
What was she to do but stay and try to convince him that he was an idiot. A complete fool if you will, for choosing to be with the brown witch now at his side and carrying his children. A sigh would escape as turquoise orbs closed against the warm sun, the only thought traveling through her mind being the same words over and over. What do I do now? She was within the boarders of Xephyris new pack Vyper, but did she really want to stay and attempt to steal back what was rightfully hers or should she leave.

Armai had been holed up in her den for the most part and loneliness had kicked in. Brutus was off searching for his friend, the last she check anyways, and she was left here without anyone to talk to. She hadn't seen much of Xeph, he seemed quite busy, and she didn't feel like she knew Jaelle well enough to approach her comfortably. Past that everyone felt like strangers to the girl. Most of all Armai wanted to stay out of the girl drama that seemed to be circulating around the alpha. She hadn't missed the tension between Limno and Soleil and she certainly didn't want to get in the middle of it. She'd had enough excitement in Myriad to last her a life time. With that though she was left without any friends to talk to except Nox. Her den was sufficiently stocked with herbs for once and past that ... well she was bored now. She couldn't take another minute in her den though so she exited it at a leisurely pace with her companion in tow. She could sense a fair amount of happiness from the leopard. They were back in the north now (which pleased her a little less) but her feline friend was loving it. It wouldn't be long before the colder temperatures were upon them and Nox would feel even more at home. She traveled nowhere in particular. She'd already discovered the strange trees by accident and the sand beneath her paws almost made it feel like a tropical place if she hadn't known better. She imagined if Brutus was here he'd tell her the beauty of it all and explain in great detail the animals, plants, and maybe the sky too. She trailed along for awhile until a scent hit her nostrils. She recognized it as Soleil so she followed it hesitantly. She couldn't smell Limno nearby so that was a good sign at least. It wasn't long until the other woman's scent grew strong and she knew she should be within hearing distance. She paused, giving the other enough space and herself enough room to feel comfortable, before calling out. "Hello?" Walk, "Talk" Think "Nox" |

Soleil hadn't expected to have any company out here on the edge of the territory. Hell she figured no one here aside from Jaelle would even have any interest in trying to talk to her. That's what she thought she wanted was to be alone with her thoughts, but the longer she sat here, the more she wished she had an actual friend to talk to. Not like Jaelle who wouldn't pick a side, but someone she could actually talk to, someone that would be on her side rather than a neutral party.
Her ears would perk and her head would turn until turquoise orbs found the voice that spoke a questionable greeting in the land's native language. She found herself hating this place and wishing her sister had fled to another land, one in witch she could understand the language. Soleil couldn't however bring herself to be hateful to the blind healer, she had not earned it nor did she deserve it. For a moment she thought about getting up and walking away, but she couldn't bring herself to be so rude either. "H..ell...o" she would stumble over the greeting, her French accent still thick and her understanding of ninety five percent of the language non existent didn't keep her from trying to mimic their words.

"H..ell...o" Well she was right. Soleil was definitely here - she easily recognized the heavy french accent and her stumbling over the word made Armai instantly feel bad. She'd come across this woman and now it was a bit too late for her to walk away now. Out of all things, Armai was not a rude being. She did feel bad that their way of communication would be hard. She'd heard Jaelle translating for Soleil at a meeting before, but there was no way in hell that Armai could pick up french like that. How was she supposed to communicate with another wolf when she had no idea how to speak her language? Maybe Soleil had picked up on some english? It was a hopeful thought, but she doubted it. "Hello Soleil. How are you?" She always felt a sense of weirdness when talking to someone. She couldn't exactly tell where Soleil was so she hoped she was at least focusing in her direction. Armai let her rump fall to the sand. She doubted the conversation would last long if they couldn't exactly talk to each other, but she was willing to give it a shot. Armai needed some more friends and she didn't want to live with the fact that she hadn't tried to get to know her other pack mates better. Walk, "Talk" Think "Nox" |
