Karabela woke with a start, sides heaving as she scrambled to her feet, eyes blinking away darkness. Shivering, she struggled to take a slow, deep breath. Nightmares, again. Sighing she flopped down on the buffalo skin that lined in den and blatantly refused to look outside at the moon that had the audacity to shine so brightly. The Chieftan didn't bother to wonder how long this would go on, it had been this way ever since she'd lost her mother and she doubted that was ever going to change. Rolling onto her back Karabela sighed again and fidgeted before finally giving up and slipping out of her den and into the coolness of the winter night.
Silence stretched over the terra, stirred only but the gentle humming of the wind. Karabela found herself climbing, up and up, higher and higher and it never really occurred to her to question where she was going until she found herself on a ledge over-looking the northern territories. Far to the northwest she could see the giant forms of the red forest. Turning her golden eyes to the moon she started at it thoughtfully for a moment before turning back to the forest. It was time to end this…
Sleek as shadow Karabela slipped down the mountainside and out of the territory.
"Speech"
I'll take my throne, lay it on a mountain and make myself a king
