He walked in a random direction from the knolls until he finally found a pack's scent. It wasn't that hard really. Packs seemed to be everywhere these days. He kept a fair distance from the border though, keeping himself hidden under the shadow of a small grouping of trees. The scent markers were strong even from here, but he was confident that he wasn't trespassing at all. He wasn't out to pick fights today. Quite the opposite really.

He settled down on his haunches while his red gaze watched the edge of the mangroves curiously. Packs had healers, right? At least that's what he was hoping as he sat here lingering on the edge of the borders. He didn't want to mingle with this pack's alpha if he could avoid it so he didn't want to howl. He was a pretty patient wolf when he wanted to be though so he could sit here and wait to see if anyone came out. With any luck they might be a healer or know of one that might help him. His ears flicked and turned occasionally, keeping an ear out for anyone that might be approaching, especially if it was from behind him.

She was looping around the mangroves, her nose to the ground as she looked for any fresh sprigs of… well anything. She needed to keep busy and refill her stores, it had grown quite depleted from the harsh autumn and winter. Amalia didn’t want to pick anything that was too young, but she would remember where it was and keep her eye on it. She didn’t like to fully take a whole plant if she could avoid it, instead harvesting from a large stalk of it. When nothing came into view, she made her way to the borders to cut into the falls. She knew that there was a big grouping of mint that was getting to the point of harvest, she could take a little bit of that. But when the scent of a stranger crossed her nose, her head lifted as she narrowed her dark blue eyes towards the boundary line of Fiori. It took a few more steps for the darker shape of the stranger to come into view, making the tiny woman hesitate. He hadn’t howled, nor had he made a sound at all. Amalia was cautious, her nose pointed upwards as she made her way closer towards him. "Can I help you?" She asked when she was close enough, her stub of a tail flicking behind her slightly.

Minutes continued to tick by and even though he was being incredibly patient he was beginning to think it might be more worth his time to move on to another pack or perhaps move around the edge of the border for this one. However, before he could act on either of those thoughts, a red-headed woman came into view. She seemed to be searching for something, but he couldn't quite tell what. He watched her quietly, his ruby gaze lingering on her and following her movements. Her scent reached him and his ears perked a bit when he caught the heavy scent of herbs mingling with her own. For once it seemed like maybe his luck was working in his favor.

Finally she noticed him and he watched her hesitate. Rightfully so really, with him being quite a bit larger than herself and being a stranger loitering at her pack's borders. He didn't shift as she began to walk toward him. Only when she drew closer did he rise to his paws and step out from the shadows of the trees. He let her keep her distance from him though. No need to frighten her and risk having her call for help or something of the sort. "Perhaps you can," he replied to her question. His expression was as stoic as ever, but his gaze held a small glimmer of hopeful curiosity. "I've been looking for a healer that might be able to answer a question or two for me. Do you think you could do that for me?"
