Mama Said Knock You Out

The one nice thing about living in the western region of Boreas was that the snow melted a lot faster than if they lived in one of the more northern regions. Lirim's lands were still muddy from all the snow melt, but everything was already greening up. She'd scouted out the dancefloor and was already pleased to see that the herds that would inevitably come would have a good place to graze. So long as they didn't have a drought like last summer then she had high hopes that the pack would thrive this year. So far it felt like an amazing start. She'd picked this morning to spend some time with her family. Ever since she'd started Lirim she'd found that she hadn't had the chance to be with them like when they'd first been born. She missed the feeling and soon they'd begin learning all the skills the needed to be successful as adults. She wanted to start them off with hunting. She hadn't had the chance to talk with Zell yet, but there was plenty of time for that later. She was sure he'd have the chance to spend more one on one time with them than she would. She padded towards the river where there'd be plenty of mud. The bank would provide a nice area for them to learn how to track. It'd be an easy start for them to learn paw print shapes and maybe even learn the scents of different animals if any were fresh. Her head raised to the sky and she let out a short howl for her children and Zell as well if he wanted to come as well. After all he had a right to their kids' first hunting lesson. The male had to admit, getting accustomed to another pack so soon was strange. He'd been in Abaven for a while, though didn't do much there. Here though, he had children to look after which he was grateful for. They gave him a sense of purpose, where before he felt like he didn't have one. He was lying on the ground, Kairi climbing on his back and nipping his ears as he lazily yawned and let her chomp on him. Faite was pretty busy in her new role as an alphess, but Zell didn't hold her lack of time against her. She had to do what she had to do, and in all honesty he didn't mind babysitting. He would help her where he could if she needed it, though so far, she seemed to have a handle on it. When he heard her howl for him and the kids, he waited a moment as Kairi rolled off and excitedly began to wiggle about. "Alright girl, let's go see what your mother is up to!" As he rose to his paws, Kairi decided to climb onto his back and take a ride. The large male smiled as he barked for the other kids to come along too, and at a steady pace lumbered towards where Faite waited.
He was still confused as to what to call their relationship. Their supposed one night stand had turned into something more. It had turned into a lot more than what they both bargained for, but since it happened, he didn't regret it at all. He had five beautiful kids, and they changed his life for the better. Hell, even Faite changed him in a way. Even though they weren't mates in a sense, he still felt a sense of protection over her. Maybe a little...possessive, but more protective than anything. She was the mother of his children after all, and thus part of his life and his new family. When Faite came into view, Kairi slipped off his back as he approached. "Good morning!" He greeted with a smile.

Tail wagged madly like a helicopter ready to take off as she jumped around and nipped at her father. She climbed on her fathers back, nipping his ears and tugging on them as he pretended to be her prey. Sharp puppy teeth did nothing to draw blood, but she wasn't biting hard enough to try and do that. Maybe with Rory...but right now, her daddy was her target. She was enjoying her little game up until she heard her mother howl, and she stopped for a moment as she tried to figure out what they were being called for. It was then that Zell started to get up, and instead of walking beside him, Kairi decided she wanted to ride on his wide back. "Oh! What d'you think mommy wants!?" She giggled as she sprawled on his back. She peered around for her other siblings, wondering if they would follow them to go find their mom. It didn't take very long for them to find her, and Kairi's tail set to whirling like a helicopter once more as she slid off of Zell's back and landed on the ground with all the grace of a three-legged rabbit. She bounded to her mother, eyes bright as she bounded around her. "Mornin' momma! What're we doin' taday? We gonna go 'sploring?" Walk, "Talk" Think |
