ooc: Crappy starter, but anyone in the pack is welcome to join her!

It was early morning when she left her den. The kids were all asleep (or faking for all she knew) when she slipped away. She was doing her best to remain quiet, but she was sure they'd be off getting into things sooner than later. So far they'd done a good job at not getting into anything dangerous which was a good thing. She didn't want to have to worry about them all the time, even with Zell watching them when she wasn't.

She opted to skip the morning run and instead headed towards the border to get right into her patrol. She skipped past the valley and headed towards the dancefloor. Making a wide circle seemed like a good plan for the day, and she hadn't spent enough time exploring their second territory. She was also hoping to run into more of her pack mates. She still didn't know Stardust or Hakon very well, but seeking them out would have been counter productive. She knew getting to know everyone was definitely on her to do list.

The woman had remained near her father's burial place. Although it was too late, she didn't want to leave him. They had found one another after so many years, but she had no idea until he came to her rescue. She was flooded with emotions when she found out who he was that day...angry and upset that he hadn't told her sooner when they had been in Fiori for a while, but also a mix of other countless emotions that made her heart clench tightly in her chest when he finally came forward.

She had not returned to Fiori after that. She did not dare to tell her cousin Leo...also because of the fear of what he might say to her after she had up and abandoned the pack without a word. She didn't know why she didn't just tell him she couldn't do it. That she was too used to being a loner and being on her own...but after her father's death, she felt lonelier than ever now. At one point, she had crossed Valefor's scent and almost followed it. But stopped herself after only a few steps and turned away...could she ever see him in a different light? She didn't even know how the boy turned out after all this time...not once did she ever say a word to him in all the time he'd been alive...

Shaking her head, she felt terrible. But he was the product of something, of someone who had done her wrong...it was right of her to blame him...wasn't it? So lost in these damned thoughts, she nearly missed the border markers that spread across the land. Startled, she stepped back with fur bristled in surprise. Had these been here before? Had she been here before? She had traveled much of the land, but she wasn't sure if she had returned to the west where her birth pack once stood...then again, she couldn't remember exactly what land that was anymore. Just that it was somewhere in the west.

Feeling defeated and oppressed with her thoughts, she sat down and just stared across the land. She had no intent on trespassing, nor did she feel like walking anymore...she just felt...lost. Tired. Things she had never truly felt before until she had lost everything. Shoulders slumped and head hanging in defeat and some sort of exhaustion, dual toned eyes stared unfocused towards the horizon. She sat facing away from the border, too tired mentally and emotionally, and even physically at this point, to get up and move away from the borders. She didn't know whose pack it was, but she'd probably find out once they discovered her presence and chased her off..

The nice thing about the plains was that it was named quite accurately. While it was largely un-shaded when it came to lack of trees, it made up for it with high amounts of plant growth, the stream that trickled through it, and the prey that had started migrating back towards the lush fields. She was pleased with where they'd settled down and so far she hadn't heard any complaints from anyone. Granted they'd gotten rather lucky so far. No harsh winter to deal with anymore and no drought either. Of course she wasn't good at predicting the weather, it could easily turn out like last summer, but she was hoping that this year would remain in their favor.

She felt restless and antsy for the most part, perhaps mostly because she was used to running this early in the day, but she'd already decided against it. Her relaxed patrol wasn't quite getting to job done, but she knew what cure for her ailment. She wanted to get out and explore, but with the pack so new she was reluctant to do so. She didn't want to be that leader that disappeared for days on end to go satisfy her own needs before her pack members. Not to mention her children - there was no way she was leaving without a good excuse to do so.

Her mind soon eased off the subject of an adventure when an unfamiliar scent hit her nostrils. She raised her head high and breathed in the scent curiously, but couldn't find anything to identify it with. No pack scent, no wolf she recognized, it seemed as though she had one of her first strangers to address. Her pace quickened, but she soon realized it probably wasn't necessary. The sight that greeted her was a sorry one really. There was no smiling face to greet and instead her bi-colored gaze rested on the back of a woman. Why was she just sitting there like that?

"You alright Miss?"
