Things had been rough since his parents had been killed. The independent boy had really withdrawn into a shell. He found it hard to sleep in a different den and had been sleeping in the den he was born into. He had stayed clear of everyone else and really wasn't sure how to handle the bottled up storm of emotions. He had seen everything happen, smelled all the blood, and was even traumatized by the whole ordeal.

He hadn't been able to each much and was going through the 'ugly duckling' stage of his puppy growth. Shedding out his winter puppy coat and the lack of attention left his fur looking clumpy and somewhat matted. He was also looking rather skinny, He was refusing to be around others and he couldn't explain why he didn't want to be around others. He couldn't even feel comfortable around his sisters.

He had been growing more and more distant and was even growing bold enough to leave Fiori borders by himself. No matter what his siblings tried he just didn't know how to act and how to feel anymore. Today was one of those days, he was disappearing from his siblings so they wouldn't pester him into doing anything. He made a silent retreat out of Fiori's borders and took a quick walk past the borders of the south. This led the boy into a territory called the weeping woods. He found a nice large willow tree and collapsed down to the ground and curled up.

Mara yawned, shuffling through the grass, unsure where she was going this time but glad to have finally escaped the persistent chill of the north. She'd been all over that frozen place, much to her dismay. In the process of escaping Velia she had failed to find any sign of her sibling, a real shame because her whole body was itching for the kinds of brawls that usually seemed to happen when she hung around him longer than a few minutes. Oh well, it was best not to concern herself. She'd surely find her own amusement for now if she kept up with this new habit of wandering. If she happened to find her brother in the process, lovely. If not? Well, it was no skin off her nose.

When she came to the woods Mara considered finding a nice spot to curl up, but was disappointed by the many twisting roots and winding streams that covered the ground here. Curling her lip she'd continue walking through the woods with a look of distaste at the whole situation. If only... If only she had something better to do than trudge through these dumb trees. She was just about to flop down on the ground in defeat when she spotted... A pup? Why was a kid out here alone? Curled beneath one of the trees this little dark wolf seemed rather alone. What did one do around children anyways...

Sauntering over to the small wolf she sat herself what would probably be uncomfortably close from the perspective of the little one. Amber eyes stared at him for a moment before she asked, "What are you doing alone, child?"

Mara is rude, lazy, and really likes to swear sometimes. She is not pleasant in the slightest.
