Waves lapped quietly at the shore. Amon had spent much of the day holed up to escape the unseasonable warmth. Summer was just around the corner, and it would seem that this part of the world had no intention of lingering in spring. The day had plagued him with continuous, brutal sunlight. He simmered, blue eyes narrowed as he went. His progeny were fine on their own, he knew that. He'd been leaving them to their own devices for moons now, but that didn't meant they were far from his mind.

Thunder rolled in the distance, lighting striking down from a thick blanket of clouds rolling in from the sea. A wall of cumulous clouds stretched high into the sky, dark and angry and charging towards the shore like a stampede of wild thing, roiling as it went. Fueled by this fucking heatwave, I'm sure, he thought to himself. The titan had considered traveling through the night, arriving back with his children as the sun rose, but he did not fancy being caught in this storm. "Shit weather," he growled to himself.

He stopped in his trek and looked skyward. The full moon drifted between tufts of clouds, only occasionally visible but giving his keen eyes more than enough light to see by. He was more than capable of hunting in the low light, relishing yet another challenge to prove himself... even if he is the only one around. He lets out a long sigh, simply to release tension and focus himself. Earlier in the day he had stumbled a section of beach where the sand had worn away, leaving a series of ragged stone slabs and pools behind. They had been fruitless, but the tide was just now beginning to recede, and he was certain he would find a meal in their depths. He need only be persistent. There was no weariness in his limbs, dedicated to finding a bite to eat before the storm arrived. Another peal of thunder shook out in the distance, and he lengthened his stride.

The thunder rattled overhead and her ears flicked with a bit of annoyance. This wasn't exactly what she had been hoping to have for her first real trip away from the pack lands in a while. It wasn't going to stop her, but it certainly wasn't ideal. She trotted along with casual, light strides. It wasn't like she had anywhere in particular she was headed or anywhere she needed to be in any hurry. Her paws slowed though when she reached the edge of the sand. She looked out over the ocean for a moment, watching the pale light from the moon glitter across the peaks and waves in the water. It probably wasn't the smartest choice to travel at night in the middle of a storm, but she was too bored and sleepless to care.

Lightning flashed across the sky and that's when she noticed the silhouette of a large, dark figure that was down near the water's edge. Her brows lifted with a mild bit of interest and as the lightning faded back into darkness she blinked to get her eyes to readjust so she could squint and make out a few more of this man's features. He was a tall brute, that was for sure. Curious, she slowly padded down closer to the water without making a direct path toward him. Perhaps it was her heat making her a little less cautious than usual or maybe it was the lack of anything else happening in her life, but her caution was out the window for the moment. She was a handful of feet down the shore from the stranger, watching him from the corner of her eye while occasionally glancing back out at the water.

The female was visible only in the far corner of his eye. He swung his head ever so slightly to the side so as to get a better look, though he did not pause in his trek. Was this creature following him? She seemed partially interest in the water as well, or perhaps the storm. He was not inclined to pay her much mind at all, but he also didn't want the wretch following him. He let out a rambling baritone note that was as deep and grating as two boulders grinding against one another, meant only for his ears but he did not much care if she were able to hear it as well.

He paused, ready to turn on the woman and send her running, until the wind shifted. The smell of her heat washed over him, and Amon drew in a lungful of it. Well then, he thought to himself, a ghost of a grin curling onto his lips. She had been drawn to him, that much was obvious. He hardly blamed the pitiful brown beast. If she was looking to procreate, it was only natural that she would be brought to his paws.

It seemed so obvious, the thought that it might be anything more than coincidence never crossed the man's mind. "Hello," he rumbled, voice smooth and deep. She was a puny thing in comparison to her, but almost all these mortal curs were. Ever stoic, Amon did not deign to say more. Let her state her business, if she wished. Otherwise he would be off, fully intending to enjoy his night in peace before the weather arrived. He would not have her sullying his evening if she did not intend to breed.

She didn't really expect him to give her any attention and if he had just gone on his way she would have been fine with that. She really just wanted to get a closer look at the ridiculously tall man. However, it seemed that something caught his attention since his blue gaze suddenly turned back toward her. Livi was sure that she had the scent from her heat to thank for that. The darkness of the night with the faint light from the moon and stars made the large male seem quite dark and mysterious. The deep tone to his voice really only added to the effect, making a small grin tug at her lips. Normally she would be a bit more careful with who she let this close while she was in heat, but... she was bored and he was handsome.

"Hello," she replied as she turned to face him, her tail flicking behind her and that small grin still lingering on her muzzle. Her voice was much more light and sweet than his own, but that was like comparing a pebble to a boulder. "I wasn't expecting anyone else to be out this late... especially with a storm brewing like this." She glanced toward the churning clouds for a moment before bringing her lilac gaze back to him. "I'm certainly not complaining of course. I'm Liviana. Who might you be?"

The woman responded quickly to his greeting, showing her excitement while remaining casual. At least there was that. She glanced back at the storm, and remarked that she did not expect to see anyone out with the weather moving in. What does that make you then, he wondered to himself. Still, she was amicable and seemed more than a whit interested. He would do his best to charm her, of course. He was hardly fool enough to run off a fae in heat. "Nor am I," he said with the hint of a smile. "That's a beautiful name, Liviana. I am Amon." He offered nothing else, at least for the moment. A mile off shore lighting crashed from the sky to the sea, the thunder delayed a moment before crashing against their ears.

Inspiration struck and he hummed thoughtfully. "I had hoped to find a meal before retiring for the evening. It's looking more and more like that isn't going to happen. You wouldn't by chance know a warm, dry place to spend the night?" The invitation was thinly veiled, but he was curious to see what she would make of it. It was true that his best idea for a den was a ways off and facing into the wind as well. He would be more than happy to be led to an alternative, especially if he might have a second warm body to help him fill it. Perhaps this evening would not turn out so poorly after all. "Of course, if the lady hasn't eaten, I might still be able to find a last minute meal?" He raised a brow but otherwise kept his face mostly neutral, apart from the shadow of a sly smile. That, he could not help.
