I don't know what love means

She moved towards the scent she had caught on the wind this morning, a rotting carcass somewhere in the near area drove her towards it. She had no clue that it lay somewhere within the lake with maggots filling its guts. had she known she wouldn't have come here from the orchard where she had been residing. The fruits there had been keeping her alive, since she couldn't hunt. She had her ears back and her head down. Her paws worked to bring he forward at a rather slow pace. She kept her minty eyes closed, not really needing them, though she could honestly use them slightly. They weren't her strongest feature so she tried her best to not use them too much as it gave her a headache. Her tail hung loosely, and everything she did was to cautious for some, it screamed of her nonexistent confidence. Her tongue darted out, touching the scars on her lip, hiding it for only a moment. Her body came to an abrupt halt as she stepped forward and her front paws touched the water. Her tail curled under her and she took a step back. Water was an obstacal to her, without knowing how deep it was she didn't like trying to cross it. Her eyes opened and she squinted trying to focus them. The outcome the same as always, a blurry view of everything, things melded together and she couldn't tell what was what. It was hopeless for her. She wouldn't even know that the rotting carcass sat only a few feet ahead, almost completely submerged. The smell was surrounding her and making it hard to tell what was what. A whine came forth from her as she struggled internally on what to do. She could go back the way she came or try to find a way around the water if she really wanted whatever that meat was. Her rump lowered and touched the ground ans she tried to figure it out. "" |

Renhett wasn't entirely looking for a place to be today. She wasn't herb hunting like she should be, but her brain was centering a lot around her siblings. Her tail moved behind her in a flowing manner, when the scent of a carrion entered her nose. It made her wrinkle for a moment, wolves were not usually scavengers though in hard times they were of course. She was a pack wolf, healthy and strong - that definitely would not be what she was seeking today. Renhett did however see something curious. Her ears perked forward and she saw what she assumed was a wolf sprawled almost all the way into the water.
Already since she had been spending some time around Storm, when Renhett got a better look at the scarred lass. She could tell it was probably due to the lack of sight. Looking around, Renhett decided they were alone and if anything she wanted to help this wolf - probably seeking out the rotting flesh. "Excuse me? Do you need some help? My name is Renhett. I'm from a pack not far from here, I'm a healer." she kept enough distance, but wasn't too far away as to seem like she was avoiding the stranger completely. |
