They were so big! Well, at least compared to him. He was way bigger than he used to be, but he still wasn't as big as these deer, especially the one with the big antlers. Oh but wouldn't his momma and dad be so proud if he brought home a whole deer! He stayed crouched down to the ground while he watched the herd through the thick, green grasses curiously. How did his parents hunt such big things? He'd be big enough to hunt them too one day he supposed. He sniffed the air like he had seen his parents do before while they were hunting and instead of noticing another prey of some kind he caught his sister's scent and his ears perked up curiously. Oh, even better! Kairi was way more huntable size! He grinned mischievously and turned to where he thought he smelled her scent coming from and inched his way through the grass, trying to keep the top of his head and tail down under the top of the grass so she wouldn't see him coming. She was watching them. The things that mom and dad often brought back to eat, but she didn't know what they were called. All she cared about when they were brought back as food was, well...eating it! She was crouched down in the grass, mismatched eyes wide as the prey moved. She wished she was big enough to hunt them, but dad had said to wait because she could get hurt if she tried by herself. She pouted, sighing as she dropped her head onto her paws. Almost as soon as she did, she saw a dung beetle right in front of her nose! She watched it, almost cross-eyed, as he struggled to roll a piece of rabbit poop away. What strange little bugs! Did they eat that? What did they do with it? Did they collect it? She couldn't imagine someone eating poop, but she guessed that dung beetles did. "You guys are weird!" She murmured right before blowing air at it. She giggled as the beetle startled, watching as it scuttled around in a frantic circle before returning to its task of rolling up rabbit poop. Thanks to her dirty little distraction, she wasn't aware of her brother sneaking up behind her. "Gottcha!" Her ears pinned back but before she could react, Breasal was already on top of her! She rolled onto her side, giggling as she flailed and rolled over. "Sal! Where ya been!?" She twisted her head, smiling at him before trying to playfully nip at his ears, tail thumping wildly against the ground. Walk, "Talk" Think

Breasal laughed as Kai flopped onto her back and flailed after he had pounced on her. He bounced around her to poked at her sides with his forepaws and ducked his head out of the way to dodge her nipping at his ears. His tail wagged away behind him and he gave his sister a grin when she asked where he had been. "Explorin' of course!" he replied confidently as his chest puffed out. "And watchin' the deer! I wanna take one back to mom and dad, but they're so big!" He bounced back from her side so that he was out of her reach before he dropped down into a crouch with his tail wagging away in the air. "What if both of us hunted it! Maybe we could do it together! What do you think?" There had to be a smaller one they could get, right? Maybe not one of the biggest ones with the antlers, but one that was smaller might be totally huntable. At least he thought so!
