He had told Dragon that he wanted to go over into Boreas to maybe see if he could find any herbs. With the cold season in Auster, many of the places he knew to find herbs weren't growing them now, so he'd have to wait until next season for things to grow so he could harvest them. A few hours after letting his brother know, Arke made a beeline for Boreas, but where to go from there was unknown. He wandered until he came to this odd place. It was dark, but he figured it might be a short cut to lands further away. And if he was wrong, then he could just turn around and go the long way. Golden eyes stared through the darkness as he padded quietly down the tunnels. Occasionally, his paws would trip over unseen rocks as he soon became enveloped in total darkness. The only sounds he could hear was his breathing, and the pounding of his own heart. He wasn't afraid, however. It was only darkness...if he ran into something dangerous then he figured he could just turn around and high tail it out of there! Before he could think about all the different things he might run into, he noticed a faint glow up ahead. Brows furrowed, eyes fixating on the eerie purple-ish blue light up ahead. Soon, the darkness of the tunnels would fade away as he emerged into a tunnel. And what he found made him gasp in surprise and awe. All around the chamber, mushrooms glowed and lit up the chamber in a ghostly light. He wasn't sure what to make of it, but it definitely looked awesome! Curious, he walked over to a group of mushrooms and began to inspect them. He didn't dare bite it until he figured out whether or not they were edible. Zuriel had never really been one for much exploring, but she was determined to get back into her routine of searching for new herbs and discovering new uses for them. She refused to have her new role as a mother, and her new found fear of the world, keep her back from completing the training she had been working on for years now. She hesitantly made her way down through a cavern and kept her two-toned gaze peeled for any sign of something interesting or anyone else that might be down here. As she made her way further into the darkness she did catch the scent of another wolf, but from what she could tell this boy was still fairly young, at least compared to her, so she continued on just with a bit more caution. Soon enough she spotted a soft glow up ahead and her lingering hesitation was brushed aside by a much more powerful curiosity. She padded up behind the black and white man just in time to hear him muse about whether or not the glowing mushrooms around them could be used as a medicine and she immediately felt better about being near him. She knew that him being a healer, or healer to be, didn't necessarily make him a better wolf, but there were certainly traits that her fellow healers had that she had always felt akin to. "That is an excellent question," she said as she padded up beside him. She offered him a small smile before she looked around at the phosphorous mushrooms curiously.
