While Dad is Away, the Pups Will Play

Sure, they were supposed to be napping, but where was the fun in that? There was still so much daylight left! There were places to explore and enemies to defeat! As soon as he heard their father's pawsteps fade away into the distance, he let his bright blue eyes pop open and he hopped up like his legs were made of springs. Now he just needed to convince his sisters to go along with his plan! "Psssssst! Para! Ama!" he hissed eagerly while he nosed at both of their cheeks in turn. "Come on, let's go play! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" He bounced around the two girls impatiently, even hopping down into a play crouch with his tail wagging around in the air. "Let's play knights and dragons again! I'll even be the dragon this time! Pleeeeeeeeeease!" It had really only been a minute or so since he hopped up from his pretend sleep, but it felt like a whole eternity. He flopped over onto his back with an exasperated sigh. "Come oooooooon, move fasteeeeeer! He rolled back onto his paws and gave himself a shake, almost knocking himself off of his paws again in the process. He darted outside weather they followed him out or not and ran over to one of the near by trees so he could hide behind it with a mischievous giggle. Pyre peaked out from around the tree trunk while he waited for the "knights" to come out of the den. |
