They Say It's The Journey [G] for [Gideon]

A warm, sweet summer day had Lydia feeling particularly ambitious as she continued to stock her storage den.  Ginseng root was on her list for today.  She'd been camping near the Firefly Lake and felt that the forest surrounding it would be a good place to look for the herb.  Even if it was particularly difficult to find Lydia hoped that if she failed to find it she might stumble upon some other useful plants and be compensated for her time.  The soft hum of insects whirred in her ears and she almost couldn't wait for night to fall so she could watch the fireflies dance.  She could do with out the mosquitos though.  Slipping through the cattails she headed away from the lake and into the surrounding trees, searching for the slender, foot-tall stalks, and clusters of red berries that would signal success.
