Two is Better than One; Sister

It was raining. The scent wafted into the small den she had dug; and the soft hush sounded outside. She emerged to find the sky overcast and feel the gentle droplets seep into her cream fur. She knew not where Noel had gone to; but believed him to be nearby. She blinked blue eyes and wandered through the forest. It was summer and thus the rain was not a threat; she enjoyed its soothing touch. It cleansed her fur and made her soul feel clean. She wandered until she found a marsh, and wandered through the unique landscape. Her heart was clean. She had felt the sun for the first time in a long time... She found herself sheepish to remember Solaris. She had not forgotten him since she made her modest exit, and caught herself thinking of him more than she should. There was something honest about him that drew her in. If she were honest she would carry her paws right to him again, but resisted. She still had a loyalty to Noel; and when she had returned that night she had said little of her adventure but that she had met someone. When she could find a way to sort through the mess she was feeling... Then, maybe then, she would introduce the two.
