The women had stayed in the shade most of the day keeping out of the heat. It was strange that it was still hot, it seemed like Summer didn't want to give up it's grasp on the earth. So she hid from the heat, her thicker pelt making the heat all the more troubling to her. Her pups didn't seem as bothered by it so she let them play and wander close by the den while she kept track of them with her ears. She needed to get back into herb hunting, but with the pups still young she didn't want to leave them alone while she went out. She had a large enough stack that skipping them for a couple of weeks shouldn't hurt. The Older female just enjoyed the company of her little ones for now, knowing that they would be grown before she knew it. She also felt that this would be her only children because she had no mate and she was getting older. It saddened her, yet she loved her children and wouldn't change it for the world. The sun had fallen behind the horizon and the moon hung high in the sky and the stars were beginning to appear in the sky. Now it was time to move about, it was cool enough to. Though her spot was comfortable and she really did not feel like moving from her spot. so she remained there, not really tired enough to go to bed. The children knew enough now that they should be in the den getting ready for bed and she wasn't that far from the den so she would be able to hear them all from where she was at. "Talk" & 'Think"

Was it cooler, or was it her imagination? Today it seemed hot and thus Aella had been crankier than usual; moved by the whim of the seasons. The sun had seeped into her dark pelt and a definite frown pursed her lips. This was not fun at all! She had thought the other day it was cooler, and now it was hotter! Who said it was fair for the weather to play games with her? She considered this as she plopped around their home, searching for some relief. In the early morning she had begun to play as any other day; feeling alive and full of energy, but as the day wore on she slowly depleted. Her clumsy steps carried her to where she always went when she was sad - mother. Storm was always there to comfort her. As if magical or on cue; Aella would wail and Storm would be there, and she had no idea how her mother kept up with five of them. All she knew was that she loved her mother dearly.

It had begun to fade into night-time and she knew she should go settle in with her siblings, but something stopped her. They were getting older now and she still hadn't found Storm. Her curious eyes wandered around Abaven, trying to follow her mother's scent. She had no idea how to track yet, but her nose had begun to develop; the scents among their home becoming distinguishable. She continued looking but found nothing and with a heavy heart headed for the den - when she saw her mother outside! "Mama, it's bed time!" she announced, as if she wasn't on the wrong side of the den, either.

The cool night air was refreshing and she sighed lightly in relief laying her head on her paws and just simply relaxing. Her ears stuck up in the air, yet they were relaxed as she let the night air cool her from the hot day. Tonight the crickets were out and their chirps were relaxing to her and how she was feeling right now she could honestly just sleep here all night long. She doubted that she would get cold and if she did she could simply crawl back into the den with her children. Her daughter's voice made her head raise and a smile spread on her black lips. Her tail gently wagged. Yes it was bedtime, but again Storm wasn't tired. "It is Aella, but tell you what, why don't you come cuddle with Mommy for a little," she said softly. She never turned away attention from her children because any time she could spend with them was a blessing in her mind. She had always wanted children and now that she had Five little ones she was extremely happy. "Talk" & 'Think"
