OOC: Navigation - Cedar Falls!

There was direction to the male's life once more, aside from becoming his sister's looming shadow. He had a purpose again and the feeling was invigorating. For too long he had been still, in his life there had been an abundance of stasis and idleness. There had been a prickling beneath his pelt and an itch in his paw pads, and now he got to scratch that itch. Amon had sent the family off to explore the new terrain they had come to, but what drew his brother to the land had yet to be seen. It was all a part of the discovery process, he supposed. Adra moved with grace, silvery eyes looking over his path as he moved through thick groves of wild berries, making sure to keep the scent of pack lands to his right as he moved south into Auster.

Keeping to the trees by habit, Adra makes his way through the rocky terrain of the forest that was made by sharply scented cedar trees and other evergreens. He was panting by the time he reached his resting point, and paused in his travels. There were massive cedar trees that littered the area, their deep red trunks giving sharp contrast to the fronds of deep green. The sun still shined above the canopy of the evergreen forest, and Adramalech took some time to become familiar with the sounds of the area. His ears set to swiveling and pivoting as he caught the sounds of song birds and the gentle scraping of claws against tree trunks as squirrels chittered and ran from the wolf in the woods. There was a faint smell of bear, it was old, but it was enough to allow Adra to slip into something a bit more defensive. He hadn't noticed the scent before, but now his senses felt as though they had been fully applied. There was the sound that was not unlike music in his ears, it was soft and bubbling, a sound that captivated the stargazer and drew him in.

Water running over stone and falling into the river below it had a unique noise to it. He remembered the waterfalls that he had discovered in their homeland, the love of water had never really left the male. The nettles of evergreen trees muffled his approach, but it didn't take long for his silver and black eyes to find the sparkling river and crashing currents of water. Oddly enough the white of the rapids reminded him of Ana and an odd sort of guilt consumed him for a moment. If he was going to discover something, it may as well be with his twin. He had no doubt she lurked somewhere with her whelp, so he shrugged the emotion for now and continued on his path along the rocky shores of the river until he came to where it spilled over its bed and tumbled down to the river below it. The entire family should be doing the same as he was and learning the lay of the land, it would be their advantage when they wished to make a home. This way the family would know where the best prey ventured, where to find fresh water, and where they wanted to lay their heads when they were done terrorizing the natives.

Aby was a yearling now, but it's not like the pup had halted Ana's progress in the world before now. She had no problem leaving Aby to the whims of the world - it was survival of the fittest. She'd taken on the pup when she'd found her abandoned and starving without any parents to guide her. How could she not take an interest in the little girl placed before her? The whelp had resembled her so much that if she hadn't known any better she would have believed the girl to be born from her own womb. Naturally her adoption was a well kept secret between the three, but Ana still believed the girl to be a gift, no matter how mouthy she got in front of the rest of the family. No matter how much of a gift Ana believed her to be, she still had no qualms about holding her to the same standards as the rest of the Abraxas family.

For now she was more intent on tracking down her twin. She was aware they were to be exploring the southern continent and it seemed as though Adra was doing just that. She'd spent more time making their den suitable and exploring that terrain that she had branching out to the rest of the territories. She still wanted to take a trip to the pack that lived in these lands and it took all her willpower to shove away the idea. It still wasn't time yet, as much as she wanted to.

Adra's scent was strong in these lands indicating he'd been here recently. She'd tracked him down easily enough with minimal effort. She hadn't spent nearly as much energy getting here as Adra had so she had yet to start panting. She sniffed around idly, following his scent at her leisure. The place was beautiful with large cedar trees and a soft bed of litter underneath her feet to soften her footfalls. The scent of bear also wafted towards her nostrils, stale for now, and her nose crinkled. She was arrogant, but she wasn't stupid. This place would have made a wonderful home if there wasn't the scent of other predators here. She had no interest in doing the tango with those creatures. She padded further and spotted Adra's dark form in front of a softly cascading waterfall. She approached him silently, her tail waving lightly behind her, as she came and sat next to him.

"Enjoying yourself brother?"

OOC: I hope I get better with his posts lol XDD

Wrapped up in the falling water and lost in thought, Adra nearly missed the perfume of his sister as she approached him. While her paws were silent, Adra never missed the cloying scent of Ana, as a result he did not flinch in surprise as some others would. Instead, he gave a sort of primitive grunt in response to her question,  "More so, now that you have appeared." The dark male gave his smaller twin a darkly charming grin and moved to bump her shoulder gently as he walked down the shore of the river. His paws deftly gripped rocks and found purchase on moss that covered the stones. He wasn't quite ready to be still just yet, having only just started his journey, but he paused in his stride to look at Ana. "Care to walk? We could find that bear and piss him off, I know you had to smell the beast."

There were no bird songs to fill the air, but there were plenty of cicadas and bugs to keep the place from being silent. There was a small pang of boredom, but exploring usually solved that for him. He figured it was the sudden responsibility that had overshadowed his joy for finding new places, the feeling that he had to check this new land out seemed to draw the true joy out of the task. Ana would distract him from this, he knew that, and she couldn't have come at a better time. She was...convenient like that. After his invitation was given, he continued his walk. The scent of the bear had him nervous, her presence was more like a security blanket that gave him super powers. If the bear did make an appearance, Adramalech was prepared to die protecting his sister. There was no joy at the thought, but he would rather be dead than to see the stain of her blood against the porcelain of her pelt. The thought was banished as soon as it rose, but it did put Adra on high alert for any hulking figures in the woods.

Her brother's presence was always calming to her and in the same sense he was also the fuel to her fire. Together they could either be the twin terrors that would wreak havoc upon the mortal world or they could be the calm to each other's storm. It was always just a matter of what moods they were in and if they felt like causing a bit of mischief. For now she was content to enjoy her sibling's ever fleeting presence - he seemed to have a wanderlust like no other lately, but how could he not with such entertaining territories to discover. At least they could keep themselves busy for a while before the eventually left to scout out the sole pack the resided on this continent.

A soft hum escaped her lips in a silent breath of happiness at her brother's greeting. Of course Adra was happy to see her. It would have been an insult if he wasn't and Ana didn't like to be insulted. She leaned into him as he bumped her shoulder and an equally charming yet dark grin encompassed her features. She followed him just as deftly as her claws dug into the rocks beneath her feet. She understood his need for movement and she was happy to get a better lay of the land. His mention of pissing off the local bear was tempting, certainly entertaining, but was it worth the effort and possible maiming.

"Mhmm." She mused to herself. "That sounds as stupid as it sounds exciting." She hadn't wanted to mess with it really, not by herself, but with Adra it sounded like an exciting rush of adrenaline waiting to happen. "It may be fun. Piss it off a bit and then dash away before any damage is done?" She said with a mischievous grin.
