The mother was worried and it was making her physically ill to her stomach. Clinging to her remaining three children she was fearful that they too would disappear from her life. Aella and Derecho were missing and the mother had covered every inch of Abaven territory in search for the two Their scents were faded, but good thing was she never found any blood or sign of being harmed. She just worried as to what had happened to them. They could have even been captured right from under her nose and she wouldn't have known. She was curing the gods for her disability, right now she was considering it a curse. Bass had been vary busy and Storm was at a loss at who to turn to, who to help ease her mind and help her feel better.

She sighed laying her head on her paws, laying in the light blanket of snow that covered the bank of the now frozen lake. Ears laid flat against her head and she tried to rid her mind of her worrying thoughts, she had even considered going to her herb den and taking something for this building anxiety in her system. What had she done wrong? She knew her children were not perfect, but what had she done to make two of them disappear?

The air was cold, winter freezing many things in its path. With the new season came new things, though it seemed Abaven would remain frozen in time. The pack had gone awfully quiet, and it was unsettling for him and his niece. She was growing anxious, and no matter how hard he tried to calm her fears, he was unsuccessful. The dark and slate male made his way through the territory, deciding to do a patrol that...probably wasn't really needed, really. He was pondering their potential move...for Quake's sake. For him, it would be easy to leave. He had no attachments here except for his niece. He never made any friends nor other relationships, and pretty much kept to himself except for when it came to pack meetings. Regardless, he was just...here. For her, and nothing else.

As he thought about what to do, the scent of his nieces mentor crossed him. He flicked his ears, wondering if he should seek out the blind woman or leave her be. But after a moments thought, he figured he should find her. After all, he never got to thank her for teaching Quake a few things. It had helped her gain a bit of confidence. Maybe not a whole lot because of Quake's past, but still...she had someone other than him to look up to. With snow crunching under foot, he sought out the woman and it wasn't long until he found her.

He made sure that his approach could be heard so as not to startle her. Crimson eyes gazed down at the woman lying in the snow, and as he came to a stop he grew curious. "It's warmer inside the dens than out in the snow." He joked lightly, the male then taking a seat next to her. He looked out over the frozen water, ears flicking away the snow. "Something troubles you." He stated. He was all too aware of when something was bothering someone, the old man quite in tune with the world around him.

She was alone for a little while lost in her thoughts and even find herself feeling ill again with grief. She still missed her companion, though her kids had seemed to taken that spot in her life. She always had one of her children with her and with it being winter there was no reason to travel out of the pack lands, but somehow two of her children had disappeared. She had tried to do everything right, despite never being a parent before she had babysat her younger family members. Now she was worried that she didn't do a good enough job. Before she could drift back into those depressing thoughts her ears caught the sounds of another crunching through the snow.

She lifted her head as he spoke to her. His voice was easily recognizable because she had spoken to him a time to two, just briefly. She smiled lightly to his words, not really bothered by the cold because of her vary thick winter coat. In fact with the kids growing they were putting off more heat and sometimes making the den unbearably warm. He then took a neat next to her and she pulled herself together and sat up so that she was sitting beside the male. He then stated the obvious and she sighed lightly.

"Unfortunately yes, I am bothered. Two of my girls are missing and it leave me questioning my abilities as a mother," she said quietly.
