Rainy and Downer Day

He grumbled under his breath as he rushed forward. This rainy season was better then the heat, but it tended to work against him. Just as he had found a fresh trail and was working his way to a herd a storm had suddenly overtaken the area. It had already been cloudy and smelled of rain, but he hadn't expected the storm and the sudden downpour. He was so close to the herd too, but when the rain began it made him retreat and the herd retreat to cover.
He grumbled, picking himself up, turning his body, and heading back to the den. Hopefully this storm wouldn't last all day, hopefully he would have another chance for a good hunt. He moved with his head low, ears flat, and eye lids squeezed closer together to keep rain from getting in his eyes. His thick, dark coat was getting closer to being drenched as he continued on, but he wanted to get back before he would relax.
It didn't take him to long before he was headed through territory that he knew like the back of his paw. Before long he was at the entrance of the den, he stopped and shook out his coat.
