My Brother, my dear

Despite the closeness of the two dens Orchid had seen little of her brother since he had moved from her side. He was busy with his family now and she was no longer the main creature on his mind, and no longer was she wholly his. It had been his decision to move to Covari and since then she had found a life inside of her, she had become the packs as well as his. Perhaps in a way his moving came at a perfect time as she was learning to spread her wings without his presence hovering before her.





Logic and freedom still didn't mean much to her in the wake of his absence, she missed her brother with an ache and no matter how often she saw him it would never again be the same, and well... she missed him. Night time was the worst, despite the comfort of the pack smells about her she no longer had his warm body beside her own. This night especially seemed agonisingly slow and when at last the dawn broke before her she would rise effortlessly and fully awake, and in moments she was slipping from the comforts of her den and peering out into the world. She wanted her brother, she didn't care what responsibilities he had this day, she would shadow him if she must as she had before in the past. She moved to the den and took in a deep breath of its scents and let out a soft sigh of comfort before letting out a huff, so he would know of her presence outside his den.
