ooc. set before "your fuchsia smile"

Moving away from the familiarity of the den was strange. She wasn't so sure about it. What was out there? As it turned out, there was a whole lot out there. Today, the gangly youngling had wandered to a new place. There was a weird forest of rocks here, all different sizes. It smelled like there had been a lot of visitors to this place, all unfamiliar. This was a new sensation, that she had not known previously. Were there more wolves here than where she had been born?

It was early in the morning, the sun was about to rise. The girl had wanted to get a jump on the day, and see what was out there. Lately, the sun around here had been hard on her. She didn't understand why, and she was too scared to ask about it. What if they said she was sick? That she could never go outside? That would be the worst! No, she'd keep it to herself.

Clambering onto a small boulder, she peered out towards the west. The sky was still a bruised mesh of purples and blues. The stars had yet to close their eyes and sleep. Ursula was going to leave soon, her crown was descending below the horizon. Mama had told her that Ursula was kind of like her grandma, but very far away. Many.. gener.. ations.. away. Whatever that meant. To the north, she could still see the familiar mountains. Not the ones where she was born, but she knew them. It felt safe, to be under their watch.

Someone in the distance. Two pale forms. One of them, she knew instantly. "Mama!" she cried joyously, leaping carelessly from her perch. "Яя! Доми! Мама дома!" Oh, how exciting! She raced towards her mama, hoping her sisters had heard.

Dragging a seal all this way was troublesome. The blubbery beast would rot, if left behind. Which was not an option. It seemed that Mr. Morningstar had been true to his word, and taken the children from the north. Which was fine, she did not mind exploration. Adventure had called to her, as a child, as well. With the help of the burly shaman, the pair tracked the group down. The east, apparently. Not too far from the polar sound, thankfully. She was so excited to see her children again, she was practically shaking with glee.

Familiar, pitchy cries reached her ears. Divo. Her middle daughter. With a grin, she dropped the seal. Didn't even think to warn the shaman that she was letting go of it. She was so excited to see her daughters. Whirling around, she saw a pale form legging it across the grass to see her. Even in the low light, she could recognize the child. "Диво!" She shouted the girl's name, trotting forth to meet her. As the whirlwind of a youth tumbled headlong into her legs, she tipped her skull down to kiss at her fervently. "Я скучал по тебе." She murmured, nuzzling between her ears.

"Я привел кого-то, кого бы хотел, чтобы вы встретились." She added, directing her gaze over her shoulder. She had nearly forgotten the shaman, in her excitement. Where were the rest of her children? She cast her gaze about the rock garden, seeking out the sooty form of Darya, or the dark limbs of Dominika.

ooc. everyone else is free to reply now, I'll have Olya posted after y'all so she can meet everyone in one post xD

He was resting from his treks and hunting for his clan. Lirika had still not returned but he didn't think she'd be much longer. She'd not want to miss the decision Dom had made. He was rather amused though he figured lirika and this shaman would be upset with letting her think she could be whatever her heart desired to be. Marvel wanted to explore and he was okay with that being the only thing she ever wanted to do. Actually he needed to see if Sathanus and Forfax would like to take the trek into the north with marvel once they reached Auster to check up on Beezelbub. Though he expected them to come right back.

He had banished bee but that didn't mean he didn't care.

The voice of Marvel outside the makeshift den had his ears pricking and his head lifting. He was up and stretching quickly, dislodging Dom from his side. He yawned as he emerged and shook out his pelt. He moved closer, a leader in his steps for the first time since lirika had met him. The fallen leader would be establishing one thing today. None of his children would be released from his band, in fact if this shaman was going to train any of them she would need to understand that they were on the move constantly and he would soon be establishing a pack in the area.

He bent down and gave Marvel a kiss behind her ear before he looked to this Shaman. His stare said it, he was not buying her telling his daughters no. The sound of Dom running up and shouting what she wanted to be in her native tongue brought a light chuckle and a smirk to his lips. Lirika would have to break their daughters heart if she didn't think Dom was good enough to do as she wanted.

He looked to the shaman before announcing not only his name but his title as well. "I am Samael Morningstar, leader of The band of the fallen, which my daughter's are all part of." Trust was not there. He didn't know this woman and didn't care to have her telling any of his daughters they couldn't be something just because they weren't all white or something like that. His tone stayed neutral and he looked to lirika then. "You will be joining yes?"

She'd been sleeping with her da, curled up against his warm fluffy side when her sister's voice cut into her dream world. Da was up quickly and she gave a digruntled noise as he dislodged her from his side. That wasn't fair. Da almost never called Divo anything but Marvel anymore and her Dom, which was okay.

She lifted to her feet and followed her da into the clearing of their temporary den, which he said had only been for the night. He said he was taking them to Sister where there would be snow soon, which had excited them all. She raced out once she realize why they were all leaving the warmth of Da. Mama was back! Now she could tell her mama that she wanted to be a shaman too! Da told her she could be anything and she wanted to become someone everyone loved and looked up to. Like her da was!

"Мама! Я тоже хочу быть шаманом! Да говорит, что я могу быть чем угодно, если я буду думать о нем!" she grinned up at her mom as she came to stop at her da's front paws. She was tiny compared to them but that was okay, her and Forfax were the same size though. She grinned up at her da and asked a simple question which he chuckled too and yes whatever she wanted. "Right Da?" she knew she had him wrapped around her paw and he likely couldn't understand what she said at first but that was okay.

Darya was less than happy about being dragged away from the only home she'd ever known. She had pouted the whole time, soft whines occasionally pulling from her lips as she glanced back over her shoulder every time they moved. It was just the worst! She missed the snow! She was upset she hadn't had a chance to say goodbye to her friends, Jupiter and Orion and Aerndis! How was mama supposed to find them if they moved away from the den? It was all terrible and the quickly growing pup was miserable the whole time. Sure da said there'd be snow where they were going but it wasn't going to be her snow!

She was pouting in the den when Divo called out- MAMA! Instantly Darya was racing out the den to push herself in beside her sister against her mother's legs. She was taking up more space each day and if truth be told wasn't quite aware of her own strength yet so her force was more than she might have meant.

Everyone was talking but Darya didn't pay it much mind, Dom had gotten it into her head that she could be a shaman too and while Darya was inclined to believe that if Divo with her face spot could be a shaman than Dom could be too, she also knew that it wasn't right to question the gods on their decisions. She cast a quick glance around her mother's legs at the strangers, then pushed into her mother harder, trying to hide from the unknown woman. "Можем ли мы вернуться домой?" She asked her mother quietly. She cast a guilty glance at her father, she still loved him but it'd be lying to say she didn't like him very much right now.

The father of their children arrived with a stern look on his face, and purpose in his stride. Why did his expression feel like a threat? A dare? Brow would rise quizzically as the phantom queen looked upon him with trepidation. He affectionately greeted Divo, and then cast a hard look upon Olya. What had changed, since she had left? Had something gone awry? "I am Samael Morningstar, leader of The band of the fallen, which my daughter's are all part of."

He had been true to his word. Yet, there was something in his tone. Distrust, and disdain. A frown creased her brow. "You will be joining yes?" It was a demand, rather than a request. She didn't like it. Pale auds tipped back warily, inquisitive gaze roving over his form. His scarred features cut an imposing figure, but she knew what was in his heart. "Why do you speak to us in this way, Mr. Morningstar? As though we are strangers come to dinner." An honest question, imparting her concern upon him without any trace of impoliteness. The young man seemed to resent her. What had she done?

Dominika came racing towards her. The giddy joy on her face melted away any negative emotions stirring in her chest. A broad smile stretched across her face. "Моя любовь, хорошо, наконец, снова увидеть твое прекрасное лицо." She cooed, crown lowering to look fully upon her youngest girl's face. She didn't approach her, or embrace her as Divo had. Instead, she lingered near her father. Oh. Okay.

"Мама! Я тоже хочу быть шаманом! Да говорит, что я могу быть чем угодно, если я буду думать о нем!" It seemed that their father's disdain had only grown in her absence. Her smile waned, but did not disappear. It was clear that he had encouraged such a behaviour, but whether it was to spite her or not was unclear. "Если боги предпочли благословить вас, тогда это будет ваш путь." It was too hard to break the news to Dominika when they were just reuniting. Perhaps another day, once everything had settled into a natural rhythm again.

Darya barrelled into her at full tilt. The bump against her forelimbs was a lot stronger than it had been before her departure. At least some of her children weren't afraid to show their love to her. The harsh thought came unbidden, along with a wash of guilt. She tenderly pressed kisses to the top of her daughter's head. Her lovely little Darya. "Можем ли мы вернуться домой?" The young girl asked softly, looking harrowed. Softly, she would whisper in her ear. "Когда все будет спокойно, мы можем говорить об этом." She promised.

In the common tongue, she spoke again. "My loves, I would like you to meet Olya. She is a shaman from the motherland, and she will be teaching you all the ways of the gods and proper ways to interact with them." Etiquette with the deities was important, as upsetting them would cause strife.

been reading books of old, the legends and the myths

All at once, there was a small raiding party upon them. Well, metaphorically. As soon as they crossed into the warmer climate, someone shouted for Lirika. The brunt of the seal fell upon her, and she nearly dropped it herself in shock. It seemed this was going to be their final destination with the blubbery beast. Turning slowly, she watched a small shape come racing across the plains. The child collided fearlessly with her mother, and Olya could see that she was, indeed, blessed of Svarog.

No sooner had the youngster reunited with her mother than her father emerged. A titanic man, with a fearsome mask upon his face. This must be the skull mask that young Darya wore as well. He looked displeased, to say the least. Bisected gaze would scrutinize him as he approached, wondering what kind of man he must be. "I am Samael Morningstar, leader of The band of the fallen, which my daughter's are all part of." It was an assertion of dominance, if ever there was one. He was making it clear that those children were now his property, more or less. Not to be taken from him. His hard stare bored into her soul, and she stood defiant. Head high, she met it. Aloof, and unafraid. A wary glance was cast to Lirika when he said, "You will be joining yes?"

It seemed Lirika was not going to answer right away, so she neglected to do so as well. It seemed a volatile situation which she needed to investigate some more. Next came a tiny ball of fur, racing across the terrain towards them. Her raucous cries were jubilant, to say the least. "Мама! Я тоже хочу быть шаманом! Да говорит, что я могу быть чем угодно, если я буду думать о нем!" She choked on her breath. The father was encouraging blasphemous thoughts like this? A wide eyed stare fell upon the massive male. It appeared she had not been as informed as she'd hoped. Lirika quickly soothed the child, though her words were no reassuring. Perhaps she also believed such things?

Unmistakably, the next to emerge from the den was Darya. Her dark form, bigger than the rest, stood out amongst the foliage all around. She was, indeed, as lovely as her mother said. She was shy, though. Hiding among her mother's legs fearfully, avoiding eye contact. That was fine. To see the tenderness with which Lirika addressed the soft spoken girl, brought warmth to her heart.

"My loves, I would like you to meet Olya. She is a shaman from the motherland, and she will be teaching you all the ways of the gods and proper ways to interact with them." Just like that, it was her turn to speak. A warm smile slid easily onto her features, and she took a step forward. "Yes, I am here to teach you the ways of our people. As well, I can teach you the ways of healing and diplomacy, should you wish." She looked between all the children. "I pray that soon the gods will favour you all with your Rite of Rebirth, and see your souls preserved. In the coming moons, I hope to prepare you all for the hunt."

Suddenly, she realized something. Where was her guard? During the hunt, he had been scouting the area. Now, he was nowhere to be seen. Glancing around, she wondered where he could have gotten to. "I brought along a guard by the name of Xiomar, but he appears to have wandered off. Soon, you will meet him as well. He can teach you to defend yourselves, and his native language- if you ask him nicely enough." A soft, husky laugh rumbled through her jaws at that. He wasn't necessarily a prickly man, but he could be secretive in some ways. No doubt these precious children could get him to teach them his tongue, and his ways.

ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE

Oh crap! She'd overslept! Everyone had rushed out of the den, and now it was just her curled up by her lonesome. Not bothering to get any muck out of her fur, the young girl came trampling into view. A flurry of short limbs and harried movements. Mama was home! She'd missed her mama! "Mama!" She screeched. Mamamamamamamamamama! It was so exciting! Bounding right past papa, she wormed her way between Darya and Divo to cuddle her mama. Nothing mattered right now, in her tired little brain. Mama was here, and she was never allowed to leave again.

"Yes, I am here to teach you the ways of our people. As well, I can teach you the ways of healing and diplomacy, should you wish." Who was that? Peeking out from under mama's belly, she made note of a strange lady. Was this the shaman? She was pretty cool, she guessed. "I pray that soon the gods will favour you all with your Rite of Rebirth, and see your souls preserved. In the coming moons, I hope to prepare you all for the hunt."

Huh? "The what?" She squawked, squirming out into the open. Rite of.. Rebirth? Were they going to be born again? That sounded like no fun at all. What was she supposed to do with another time of being born? "I brought along a guard by the name of Xiomar, but he appears to have wandered off. Soon, you will meet him as well. He can teach you to defend yourselves, and his native language- if you ask him nicely enough." Oooooh yes, she wanted to learn another language. She'd picked up a lot of her mama's language, purely through immersion. She held conversations with her siblings quite well. Another language would be fun to learn.
