Dirty Paws

A loud, ear-piercing shriek announced the arrival of the largest Aadar-Destruction child as he sprinted from the entrance to his family's den, rushing through the fertile grasses of Serpent Plains. "WHEEEEEEE!" Summer was here in full force, and now that he was allowed to leave their cramped den more often - always with supervision, of course - Corvus was ready to take advantage of the new found freedom that he and his two siblings had acquired. They couldn't roam around freely, of course, but.. well, he'd forget that minor detail for now and enjoy the beautiful summer day.
A loud, childish giggle left the oversized pup's mouth as he continued onward, spinning around to look behind him. He was looking for Aiden and Rhea to make sure they were keeping up with him. Somewhere at his side his dad was watching over him, grinning at his antics, though doubtlessly keeping a close eye on him at the same. Large paws slapped the grass and flowers beneath him as he turned back to run forward, happy to enjoy the day spent with his family. "Hurry up! You two's slow!" He'd push forward with all his might, panting and laughing all the while.

The child emitted a faint sound, so easily missed amidst the noise of her brothers, a shuddering sigh as she worked up the courage to follow after Corvus. Little paws clawed at the dirt nervously before large, bright green eyes would peer cautiously around the side of the den entrance. The world outside was big, and full of unknown things that were so much bigger than her. Rhea was in no rush to leave safety and comfort. It was only after her larger brother went zooming off to who-knew-where that she felt herself drawn to leave. Dark ears flattened when Corvus called back at them, summoning an indignant huff from the girl as she finally gave chase. "Nu-uh Corvus!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, stubby puppy legs scrambling to send her shooting after him. She was catching up! Running as fast as she could, her brother was less of a spec in the distance and more a hazy lump. Rhea might have been hot on her sibling's trail if she didn't trip and do a few somersaults, landing on her back looking up at the sky. Pouting and scrambling to right herself, she looked around for one of her brothers, or her parents, or anyone at all. At first she saw no one and Rhea went racing towards where she last saw Corvus, yelling, "Wait for meee!" in a slight panic. "Speak" |
