The day was warm with that wonderful sun shining bright overhead as high noon approached. Staying in the Abaven lands sounded like a surefire way to just roast, so the girl did the first thing that came to mind - went in search of water! And man, did she find a ton of it. Racing along the beach, she splashed through the waves that lapped at the sandy shore, similar waves of laughter falling from her lips as she bounded along. The feeling of the salty water splashing up over her legs and belly as she ran was delightful.

Skidding to a halt as she reached one end of the beach, Caelestis shifted her weight to her hind legs, pivoting on them and pushing off to to careening back along the shore-line in the opposite direction. What a fun game! Yearling or not, games were awesome, and if anybody asked she was, uh, traiiining! Yeah, building muscle running in the sand, that was a hundred percent what she was doing.

As she zipped over the sand, claws digging into the soft ground, the girl eventually slowed. Something in the water caught her eye. Weird grey spots appearing on the surface of the water, what were they? Wandering into the water up to her chest she stared out at them. Suddenly one came bursting from the water a few hundred feet away, flying through the air with amazing grace and beauty. When it landed back in the water Caelestis whooped excitedly, grinning as she watched the creatures play and splash. Oh, and some were coming towards her! Wow!

Navigation -- Fontamo Bay

The female had been traveling with No Face, working through the paces of running, building up her muscles as she prepared for the day when she’d soon start challenging others to sharpen her battle skills. The bat hawk was heading towards the beach, the smell of salt water leading her onward. Her ears were perked, long strides carrying her onward, when suddenly No Face screeched above her. Apparently he had spotted something.

Philomena spotted the other girl shortly after, her back to them as she gazed at the water. Philly slowed, flicking her mane out of her eyes. What was the other looking at? The blue eyed youth came closer to the other, her footfalls muffled by the sand at her paws. The bat hawk flew on ahead, out towards the waves to see what had caught the other girl’s attention.

She was so busy staring out at the weird animals in that for the longest time she didn't notice the other girl nearby. As they started to get closer, she noticed they were kind of smooth and shiny looking - how weird! Her tail wagged tentatively behind her as the weird smooth things swam closer, occasionally peering up from the watter and making funny chattering and clicking sounds at her. This was so exciting, too bad- Oh, wait, the scent of someone finally reached her nostrils and the young girl glanced over to find another, slightly older girl standing close by.

Smiling brightly, she chirped, "Aren't they funny looking?" Just then one of the creatures came closer, lifting it's face from the water to peek at her. Clacking and making over weird ocean creature sounds, it splashed as her with one fin, opening it's mouth and showing off some weird teeth that didn't vary in size and shape like those of wolves as it seemed to laugh at her. "Hey!" she yelled, splashing back at it with one paw.
