Today she was gunna be bold. She was gunna be fearless and explore outside all by herself without her crazy siblings or her parents holding her paw. All little Rhea had to do... was leave the den.

Okay so that had kind of been a hang up so far, as she was still sitting with her paws firmly planted in the loose soil at the mouth of the family den. Big green eyes stared warily out at the waving grasses that surely held monsters of all kinds within them. Gosh, this was way more difficult than she had anticipated. Ears lay flat as a nervous whine threatened to escape. No, she couldn't start crying like a baby or her family would hear an then they'd try ta help her!

Taking a big, biiiiig breath, she poofed out her cheeks, pushed out her chest, and marched out of the den, not stopping until she could barely see it from where she was. She was sort of between the plains and thicket now, that was a good start... Now what? She was sitting there, deflating slightly, when a rather large beetle came flying straight at her face. Letting out a panicked shriek she stumbled backwards. "Waaaaah!"

Oof! Landing on her back heavily and knocking the air from her lungs, Rhea would just lay still, gazing at the shiny beetle that had managed to cling her her nose stubbornly while she made a fool of herself. It wasn't too scary after all, even kinda pretty. Huh.

The Easter Bunny hops on by!

On her way through, she drops an egg at the paws of Rhea.

Just as she was about to head out on another wild adventure - because that's what super amazing navigators do, you know - Caelestis decided to take a quick detour through the pack lands juuust to see if there was anything interesting going on. As a super grown up yearling, Caelestis liked to try her paw at patrols from time to time, or look for someone to beg for lessons of various kinds. Brandr had been fun to hunt with, but she wanted to do more things. Lots more things. She just needed to find someone to have fun learning with cause so far Abaven was a bit lacking in that department.

So far nothing had caught her interest, and Caelestis was trotting across the plains towards the border to do her exploring anyways when she caught sight of a little reddish-brown shape. Veering that way, she watched the smaller girl pad slowly along before getting freaked out by a bug and falling over. Caelestis couldn't help it - she laughed. Hard.

Loping over to the child, Caelestis moved to stand over her, grinning, and asking, "Ya okay, small fry?"

For a long time the little one would just lay there, staring at the bug and sighing heavily. Only when the insect stirred and flew off did the child begin to pay attention to her surroundings again. The thing that made the beetle leave was probably what was attatched to the shadow falling over her. As soon as she thought that, Rhea saw a face appear above hers. The face of an older girl, grinning down at the pup gleefully.

"Uh, yes, actually. I'm fine." Rhea began uncertainly, forcing herself not to stutter despite the nerves that were brought on by having the giant teen looming over her. As much as Rhea thought the girl's mismatched eyes were pretty, she didn't need to look at 'em from this close!

When at last the older girl stepped back, Rhea pulled herself to a standing position and shook of her dusty pelt, sneezing a bit as it filled the air around them. Ick. The pair moved to the side and once Rhea could actually breathe she asked, "What's your name? I'm Rhea, and I've never seen you before."
