She padded lightly ahead, ducking and weaving through the briars at the western side of a Fjord she remembered her father describing. She could hear the tread of Amos’ paws behind her, and the crackling of briars, and a toothy smile tugged its way onto her features.
“Keeping up alright?” She chuckled over her shoulder before she ducked under another thorny branch, feeling the thorns tug at the fur on her back.
Finally, though, she broke out into the light, blinking as her eyes adjusted. Ahead of her stretched the land bridge, and the sand shimmered just like her father had said. She caught her breath in a soft ‘Ohhh…’ as she padded forward, gazing about at the beauty of it, and the sea at either side.
“Da wasn’t kidding…”

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.
Blinking a few times as his eyes adjusted the the sudden bright light, he laughed as he watched 'Rielle's expression at the sight of the lovely, shimmering sands that were reminiscent of her own coat. He'd already been to Auster once, but that didn't stop him from turning to admire the view alongside her. Once they'd stood a minute, he bounced to stna din front of her, dropping into a bow and wagging his tail playfully, "Race ya to the water!"
With that he spun on his heels, launching himself into a sprint to the shoreline as fast as his legs would carry him though he doubted if they ran very far that he'd win.

Aurielle grinned at her friend’s laugh, head cocking as he bounced to bow in front of her, challenging her to a race to the water.
Oho. She kicked off after the larger wolf, legs flashing out beneath her as she lengthened her strides. She was nearly on top of him within a few moments, tail flying in a banner behind her, mane flowing. She pulled abreast in a few more strides, just as they crashed into the water.
Her impact sent a spray of water flying with a crash, a bark of laughter filling the air as another bound took her brisket deep in the water. It was cool, cold, even, but she didn’t mind getting soggy.
She knew better than to try drinking the water—her father had told her never to drink the water, as it would make a wolf ill. But that didn’t stop her from ducking under the surface briefly, head popping back above the water as she blinked it away from her eyes.
“Do you think there are any good creatures to eat here? Da mentioned clams…” Her head turned back to the shore as she grinned at Amos.

Now that they were both thoroughly soaked, any warmth he might have felt was gone and replaced by the chill of the salty waters. He could taste it on his lips, which was more than enough to keep him from having any interest in ingesting more. That much salt was kind of gross. He watched Aurielle duck under but didn't follow suit. He was plenty cool now without getting his ears wet too.
He shrugged at her question, unsure if he really knew of anything edible here. "I've never seen a clam, sounds weird. Hmm... Maybe a crab would be good? They look strange. I never tried eating any, but there's a first time for everything, right?" Turning towards the shore, he stared out across the shimmering expanse. It was lovely.

The shimmering Future grinned at his response, giving her head a violent shake and sending water flying in all directions as she turned and waded back to shore. “Da said clams burrow into the sand when the tide goes out, and they’ll spit water out at you. Apparently they were alright to eat, but not entirely his preferred delicacy.”
Gradated blue eyes swept the sparkling sands for any likely candidates for a meal as she padded along, soaked paws leaving prints in her wake, and sodden tail gathering sand. She paused at a spot just at the edge of the wet sand and pointed with a paw. “Maybe one’s here? Or maybe it’s a crab. Da said they pinch, though.”
She flashed a grin at the male and bent her head to dig her claws into the sand, cleaving pawfuls up and sending them flying until she felt her claws scrape against something and paused. Head cocked, she leaned back and stared down into the hole she’d made. No clams to be found, or crabs. But… was that a tree trunk?
“What’s that, do you suppose?”

Following her, Amos shook his dark pelt out briefly before padding along the damp, water darkened sand to join the search for these mysterious clam things. Eyeing the spot she pointed to, he shrugged lightly. "I don't think crabs hide under the sand very far. Must be clam."
There was only a moments pause before he was right there with her, helping his friend unearth whatever might be waiting for them beneath the sand. Maybe they'd find something cooler than clams! One could hope, right? Not that he even knew what these water-spitters looked like yet, but, there were probably plenty of cooler things to find. Toes spread wide to aid in shoveling up clumps of damp, shimmering sand, sending it flying off behind him.
It was Aurielle who first hit something, and Amos moved slightly closer to inspect the mystery thing alongside her. Wait, wood? He couldn't think of any sea-creatures that looked wooden, so… Huh. "I dunno, guess we'll have ta' dig it up to find out!" He asserted with a bright smile made all the brighter by the sunlight hitting his ivory fangs. Hopping right back into digging, his legs worked harder, faster, more aggressively as he sought to quickly unearth whatever this was so the prize would be on full display.
Slowly the object took shape, becoming more rectangular, and gaining a form as he found one corner and began to dig down the side of the wood object. So far it was still too covered in sand to make out much detail, but they'd fix that later supposing they could get it back out of this hole.

She grinned up at him at his question, chuckling, “Da said they burrow down with their tongues..” She stuck her own out, giving a wiggle before she padded off.
Now as they dug around the log, she found glints of metal wrapping around it. After several minutes of hard digging they revealed a strange looking, large object. She was just scooping out another pawful of shimmering sand when a faint jingle that reminded her distinctly of her father’s pendant caught her attention, and she looked around as a gold chain with a heavy dark stone flew from the pawful of sand and landed in the sun, shimmering an iridescent blue.
“Oh…” It was both a sound of ‘pretty…’ and broken sadness. The nearly black stone reminded her greatly of Aramis’ base color, and the blue shimmer? Just like him. Her ears folded back briefly before she forced the sadness away and reasserted the determination that her brother and mother were out there and okay.
Disregarding the large log they’d uncovered for the moment, she bent and picked up the necklace, padding to the water and dipping it in to wash the sand away before returning to let it settle back on the sand for their examination.
Her eyes flicked between Amos and the necklace before she grinned. “The color looks like it’d go well with your coat, Amos.”

The wooden thing was slowly taking shape, turning into something unlike any log Amos had ever laid eyes on. Metal glinted under the layer of wet sand that still stubbornly clung to much of it. Messy as he was, Amos didn't mind getting dirtier, so he took to sweeping it off more with his tail, revealing more details on the mystery object a little at a time. A dark ear tipped towards Aurielle as he heard the sad little sound. He didn't get to see her initial expression, but sensed the disturbance nevertheless. Watching as she carried something shiny to the water to clean it before returning and laying it on the sand, Amos hopped out of the deep trench they were digging to go investigate the find.
"Hey, that's pretty cool," he mused in a soft tone, before sticking his snout right into the damp sand, lifting his head and pulling the chain of the necklace over his head in the process. Looking at her with his sand-covered face, the man beamed, striking a comical pose and asking, "How do I look?"
