Yeah this was the opposite direction of where she knew she ought to travel. Iskra would lay with one white-marked paw dangling into the salty water of the paw as its waves lapped at the shore, further and further up the wolf's outstretched limb the longer she stayed there. Blue eyes stayed closed and a heavy, shuddering sigh left her lungs as ears fell back to her skull.

As time went on the midday sun would send the shade of one of the mangroves stretching out to shade the from her tail to the middle of her back. The creeping cool sensation reminded her that she probably shouldn't waste an entire day here. Slowly, she pulled her body to a standing position, all four paws now in the salty water as the tide rolled in. Walking out into the waves, she considered doing some swimming, but she wasn't really feeling it.

Honestly, this unhappy Iskra was so dreadfully, sickeningly unfun.

He sniffed in the air and tried to distinguish all the different smells. When he followed one, a critter jumped away and fleed into a mangrove. He chased it and tried to follow it up, but he failed horribly and landed on his back. He stared angry at it, but it was gone. In a slightly worse mood than before, he walked farther. When he came to the end of the forest, he saw a beautiful, white beach and blue-greenish water. He also saw a red wolf watching it. He lowered himself so his belly almost touched the ground and tried to stalk her. He didn't know yet what he wanted to do when he came close. Maybe he would jump into the water, trying to make her wet. It was a game he used to do when he was pup, and at this moment, he felt like a pup. But probably he woudn't come close enough, he had never been the best stalker and the sand wasn't making it easier. Maybe he shouldn't take chances and start running.
