Location: Weeping woods
OOC: Placing this just at the end of winter

The seasons were cooling in Auster, the lakes and ponds slowly but surely rising in her observations. Branch's supplies had for sure helped her and her pack for the rest of the dreaded season, and she couldn't thank him enough personally.

As she came up from the Bifrost, a thick layer of snow and ice made it a difficult trek to a more northern area than where the two originally met, the slow heating of spring causing the snow to melt and the surface barely strong enough to hold Aranea's tiny body afloat. She fell through multiple times, unfortunately not something she could help as she were born as this little creature. Her face showed it all in each step she popped through the surface, as if her life was flashing through her eyes.

But all was well as she saw the weeping trees and attempting to make her way to a path left by a few traveling wolves. She wouldn't wait long once entering the woods too let out a semi-howl, more like a low call for her friend that may have even gone unheard. No matter, he'd probably sense she was here anyway.

Since his last meeting with Aranea, winter had brought some potential. A few more faces met and some more wolves to tell his plans to. No one was sole set on joining him, but he was getting the word out which was better then he had been doing. He wasn't letting anything discourage him and was still set on making his dream come true. The only thing that was bringing him down was the loneliness that plagued the social creature. It was a real struggle for him considering his upbringing was surrounded by a bunch of other wolves. But he was making it through and Spring was just around the corner.

He was taking a look at his herb stocks today, ridding them of completely dead and useless herbs and getting a count of what was left over. He would need to get back to collecting once spring hit, refresh his stock and hope that they become useful. He was even thinking that maybe he should start trading with packs despite the fact he did not have a pack. It was a better way to get the word out, but why would a pack wolf join him? By now he had also given up on the thought that Serene would ever come back from her exploration, one wolf he had been sure would stick by him.

He was on his way out of the storage den when the low call for him came from towards the border of the territory. He grinned as he dropped the mouthful of dead herbs and took off at a trot to greet who was calling him. It took him a few minutes to reach her and when he did he smiled. He wasn't expecting her to travel back so soon, but he was glad to see his friend from the beginning of winter. His tail wagged as he closed in leaving a respectable distance.

"Aranea, It's good to see you," he greeted.

In turn she would wag her tail back at the tall brute with her own slight smile. She would only look at him for a few seconds before her eyes drifted towards the icy ground. Quickly she would perk up with an "Oh," like she had forgotten the entire reason she came here to begin with, and of course there was a slight awkwardness in herself.

Wiggling her shoulders, the bag became loose around her neck to where she snuck her nose in between it and herself in order to pull it off. It hit the ground rather hard, but not enough to damage anything inside. She flashed a look to Branch maybe with a bit of embarrassment, but quickly picked it up between her teeth to hand it off to him. "Um, I'd like to thank you again personally. The herbs were a great help to me and my pack." Which was truth, but there was no way it was unseen that she were uncomfortable. For no reason in particular, or at least none that was shown. Socialization had perhaps drifted from her everyday norm. Which would have been a sad sight to see for any of those that had truly known her before.

His smile never wavered, he was truly glad to see she had returned. She was on one piece and she didn't look ill or harmed. His biggest hope was that her pack had survived and was helped with the herbs he had given her. His eyes did see his bag and was grateful for it to be returned. He watched her pull it off, not at all minding how hard it had hit the ground even if she may have been embarrassed about it. He gently placed his face inside the loop and when she let go of it he wiggled it back onto himself before looking back to her as she spoke.

"Oh no need to thank me I'm happy that they were able to help you and your pack. It's what I hoped for," he said with a bigger smile.

She was a quiet women, but Branch was still interested in getting to know her. He was hoping that she wouldn't rush right off to get home, that maybe she would have some time to spare?

"How have you been since your last visit? At least it isn't winter here anymore," he said.

Maybe he was being a little too chatty, but could you blame him? He was a loner with no constant company.
