He knew both of his oldest children were well beyond the age to do what was asked of them, yet there was no anger within him when he thought of how slowly they both seemed to be getting to work on their rites. He never fully expected Daelos to adapt to their lifestyle. He didn't know her too well, but he knew the nature of his family.. and had a good idea of the nature of the Adravendi's. Daelos was an innocent soul, but Miach...
Miach seemed interested in proving his worth since the moment he met Elias. Elias was eager to train him, teach him what it meant to have Praetor blood and to be a part of Ruina. Ever since the birth of the new Imps, however, he noticed his son was around pack lands less and less. He wouldn't allow either of them to slip away without knowing that he noticed.
The rugged beast stood outside of Ruina's citadel, large crown surrendering backward to release a howl that called for Miach alone.

Miach had been avoiding anyone and everyone, there was no discrimination when it came to his introversion. He'd felt like all of his life, he had always been walking from place to place just searching for somewhere to call home, somewhere where he felt like he had belonged. Growing up in Lirim without a father didn't mean much to him as a young pup, but it didn't take Miach long to realize what he was missing out on when he watched the other young wolves. Perhaps, that jealousy and longing to know what having a male role model felt like.. was why he left in the first place. He spent his youth exposing himself to absolutely anything and everything that he could, not caring even if it meant that it brought him to dangers that could bring his own demise. He chased after the dream of belonging somewhere so hard that.. the price it came with didn't matter to him. He would pay anything, whether that meant pride or life. It was unhealthy, and he was slowly becoming aware of that as he grew older.. yet... understanding didn't stop the longing. Now that he was here in this pack with his parents, he thought things would be different. He thought that he would finally be able to bond with his father, thought he could learn about the pack he was always supposed to be a part of... about the half of his family he had never known. As soon as he got here, though.. it seemed both his mother and his father became absolutely obsessed with both each other and their new children. Watching Elias interact with them, call for them, and never himself.. just.. really crushed his spirits. Who was he kidding? They both missed out on the opportunity to form a bond, Miach knew it. He was no pup with a bright mind eager to be molded, he was already grown.. already useless.. With a sigh, he was setting out to leave the pack lands all together.. maybe to go find Kane. Maybe Kane had the right idea all along? Or maybe.. he should just be okay with remaining all alone. It wasn't uncommon for these thoughts to be on his mind, though it was still an eerie feeling to hear his father's call at the very moment he had got up and decided to make his exit. His ears twitched, and even though he knew his father had no way of knowing what his intentions were today... he felt embarrassed. He followed the howl slowly, leisurely strolling into view of his father though he said nothing. He didn't know what Elias wanted, but he couldn't help the way his heart raced when he looked at the man. He was so strong it was almost intimidating, and those eyes had a way of burning through Miach's very soul. He tried not to get his hopes up, but that longing feeling was a demon fully latched onto his shoulders as he waited for the man to admit why he called him. |

Elias watched as Miach strolled toward him, growing more and more impatient with every small step that the man took in his direction. Elias' first thought was that none of this was important to him, and although in angered him he did not have it in his heart currently to hate Miach for that. His red eyes narrowed as he focused in on his son's gaze once he was near enough that Elias could make it out. Miach had soft features, making his stare seem.. gentle even with those eyes the same blood red shade as his own. Miach grew up only knowing the endless love Zuriel had to offer during the crucial stages of his development, and Elias could see where this would hiccup his transition into a Ruina lifestyle.
It was disappointing.
He loved his firstborn son more than he knew how to explain or put into words, so just as he would never keep Daelos without her heart in the right place.. he would not keep Miach here, either. The only thing he worried about.. though.. was their influence on the faith that the new Imps were building. So far, his new children seemed interested in their own demons.. and he wanted this to be continued throughout the rest of their life. It had to be.
Miach could not show his depression or lack of interest in front of them and get away with it, he had to know this.
Miach had been birthed granted with a demon's soul through the womb of The Demon Mother. That demon's soul was a gift from Apollyon, and he would not let it be lost...
Not an ancient one as strong as what lied in those
Elias closed his eyes for just a moment and took a step back, trying to lose focus off of his son for a moment and calm the growing fire behind his own eyes. He would not allow himself to get angry, but he wanted to hear what Miach had to say. He had to try to convince him to step up.
