The young woman had been staying closer to the Mangroves lately, keeping her training close to home with No Face. The Bat Hawk didn’t seem to mind, appreciating the fact that Philly wanted to keep close to her family for a while. But that didn’t mean she had given up on her idea of The Deliverance. The woman was just stewing on the idea, trying to tweak it, coming up with the best pack ranks and laws that she could think of. All the while… she knew she still had to confess to her mother what her plans were as well.

The female canted her head to the side as the cicadas began to cry. The days of summer were here and she found the days lazier than ever. But her mind was at work, and her conversations with No Face ended up becoming more frequent. Her heart was dedicated to becoming an alpha, like her father before her, and doing him proud. But would her mother agree to the idea of her forming a pack? Would she appreciate what Philomena sought to do? Or would she try to talk her out of it?

Philly decided to not let it bother her. Right now she was just glad to be close to her mother and brother, spending some much needed time with them after living with her uncle as a child. In fact she still stayed in the same den as her mother, wanting to keep her close. Philomena was protective of the other women for certain. She’d give everything she could for Roza in a heartbeat, and her brother too, if she was being honest.

“Mom?” The female asked quietly. “Are you awake yet?” Philomena shifted her head, her long mane falling before her eyes as she looked in the direction of the older woman. She had decided that today was going to be a day to spend with Roza alone… they hadn’t had nearly enough mother daughter time.

In the early morning the sounds of the nature outside of the den gently woke her up and pulled her unwillingly from her dreams. She didn't move or open her eyes in hopes that she could hold onto the content feeling that the memories brought her. Her memories of the early days of her and Ganta's relationship had played out through her dreams and for a short time at least she was able to think of him without thinking of the loss and the loneliness.

She was grateful for her children staying with her. She knew that they were more than old enough to go off on their own and she wouldn't have it in her heart to stop them if they did. Having them around comforted her so much even without her consciously realizing it. As she started to wake up she listened to the sound of her daughter's breathing and smelled her scent in the den and immediately felt relieved. She occasionally had nightmares of waking up to find Philly or Ulric missing again and every day that she woke to them there it made her day easier.

Philomena's voice got her to open her eyes and Roza lifted her head to look in her daughter's direction. She smiled and leaned across the small distance between them to brush the longer hair out of Philly's face with her nose as she replied. "I am. My sweet dreams couldn't last forever I'm afraid." She glanced to the side where Ulric usually slept and decided that he must have gone out to hunt already. He always liked to do it early in the morning and no matter how much she insisted that he didn't have to he always liked to hunt for all of them. She didn't argue with him on it too much since it was good practice for him and she could tell he enjoyed providing for them.

Her gaze returned to Philomena's as she shifted how she was laying to face the young woman more easily. It was still hard for her to accept that her children were now fully grown adults. In her mind they were still just little pups. "Do you have any plans for today?" she asked curiously. She didn't want to intrude on whatever it was that Philomena had in mind, but she did hope just a little that she might get to spend some time with her. It seemed like they hardly got to talk despite seeing each other so frequently.
