He had awoken this morning to the sound of wind and rain. Blue eyes groggily blinked open as a yawn took over. He was curled tightly around himself, makeshift den beneath the cypress tree feeling oddly cold without his daughter's warmth. He had shared a den with her ever since she was born...and he was starting to miss the warmth. Though it was summer, storms seemed to be more frequent this season. And they seemed to come out of nowhere. The past few days had been clear, sunny, and hot. But today? It seemed the world decided that it wanted to start the day off with a downpour.

After several minutes, Zell got up and crawled out of the den. He sat at its entrance, the cypress tree serving as an umbrella of sorts. The ground beneath him was damp, and not too far ahead of him, the brackish water dared to rise as the storm went on. Luckily for him, the tree he had chosen to take shelter under was on slightly higher ground. It was a few inches higher, but still...it was dry for the most part. Few rain drops penetrated through the tree he sat beneath, and every so often he felt himself shiver as the droplets landed on his fur. Had the storm reached Lirim as well? Or were some parts safer than others? He hoped Kairi had the sense to stay safe and dry from the storm...but he never quite knew what she would do.

Having stopped by the pack and participated and been a very good pack member if she did say so herself, Caelestis felt free to go right back to what she did best; exploring every inch of land she laid her eyes on. She felt especially good about it since she'd even seen her parents and enjoyed some time with them. Things had been going well. So naturally nature decided to take some of the wind out of her sails as she made her way south.

The rain was absolutely unforgiving, and the only den-like hole she'd poked her nose in proved to be flooded which led to her tromping around, fur plastered to her skin looking like an absolutely miserable mess. Her face was scrunched up in a pout as she splashed through the many puddles in search of a scrap of dry possible shelter. Soon she was stuck in a sneezing fit that left her so disoriented she almost didn't know what season it was anymore. Yeesh.

Cael has facial scars not seen in all of her art yet!
