Asharya had always liked exploring amongst the runestones when she was young. For the life of her she couldn't puzzle out the strange clawmarks etched into the stone, how straight and weird looking they were. Whatever creature had made them, she was certain she had never met it. A part of her had thought often of this place along her travels, hoping she might one day cross paths with something so odd looking that it just made sense, but so far? Eh, oh well. She shrugged it off. A shadow moved at her side. After blinking, one might notice a large, well muscled cat slinking through the tall grasses behind her. Idris had opted to stay behind when she left before, but by some chance they had found each other once again now that she had returned. She found herself oddly grateful for the company, and the presence of another old friend. Could his claws gouge marks like-?

Aw, hell with it. Maybe there were some things she just wasn't meant to know. She cast a baleful eye upward and squinted at the roiling clouds above. What gifts had their God given them anyways, if they could not know all of the creatures that were meant to be their subjects? Her curiosity fueled an itching frustration which had manifested itself in... well, interesting ways. For now, she just wanted to stretch her legs and run herself silly. She considered it a border patrol of sorts, interested to know what lurked just beyond Abraxas lands, and besides she needed still needed to seek out her cousin at some point to make sure he didn't want to chew on her for stepping out for so long. So much to do, she thought with dry humor.

She sighed, following a particularly fresh scent of coyote as it wound in between the stones. That would brighten her sprits for sure. Never disappointed, running one of those little shits off. Idris found the same joy in it that she did, which made the game all the better. A mist began to fall, and she was certain that another bout of rain was on its way. Best to cover what ground they could before the storm hit them with its full weight.

Steadily, the man moved further South. He started in the furthest North-west corner, so he had little choice in his direction decisions. He had no desire to travel across the sandbar. Frankly, he had seen enough water in the last few months and he was fine with sticking to solid, dry land. He was surprised to find only one pack occupying such lush terrain. Auster was quite a beautiful place.

And strange.

Stones rose into the air, perfectly placed in a ringlet. This was no natural formation. The man of fire knew that must. The ancient creatures that once dominated this land had such strange customs. That was the only explanation he could muster. Something, of great power, had to do these bizarre things. They were quite interesting. Like a moth to the flame, the wolf found himself inching closer.

Deep red eyes caught the flash of a shadow moving betwixt the stone pillars. The wolf's ears perked and he froze. He became static as he took in the scenery. He had not been spotted, yet. Crouching, the man crept closer, his pelt of fire sticking close to the shadows that the stones cast. A mist started to fall around them. Valkorion lost the shadows in the haze. He stood, huffing to himself as he rounded a corner.

He exhaled suddenly, pushing out the startle of coming so close to the creatures he had been half stalking. "Pardon me," his voice was rich and smooth as his eyes flashed from the cat to the wolf. He spoke to the canine, but his attention was more on the cat. It wasn't every day that he found a wolf so at ease with a leopard at their back. The feline was far too laid back to have been hunting the wolf as well. So, curiosity began to peak. "You appear to have two shadows."

"Let the darkness sleep"

Evil characters do evil things. Be warned, you thread with a psychopath; anything is possible.
