Chaos stretched easily as he left the barrow that evening. Sgili gave a soft hoot of welcome from the half-dead, scraggly tree that the two owls had claimed as their own, and the pair took wing in the twilight to follow silently overhead. They tended to stay home when he went off in the daylight hours, understandably since great horned owls weren't exactly at their best during the day, but when he took it in his head to prowl about at night, like he was now, they liked to keep an eye on him. He didn't mind at all, finding it gave him an advantage, and he liked the company even if bothowls were all but silent.

Yawning, the tall, fanged male trotted out into the knolls. Having lived inside of one for a year now, he knew that they were ancient human burial mounds, and as always he eyed them wondering if it would be worthwhile to dig his way into another one. But he hated digging, so now as always he ultimately discarded the idea. But he did like the idea of trying to ambush some sleeping grouse or something, scrounge up a meal.

He continued to meander slowly through the knolls, ignoring the small groups of buffalo scattered in the valleys just as they ignored him. They knew a hunting wolf when they saw it, but he was clearly not after them so they weren't worrying over it. Neither of the owls indicated anything to be concerned over, so Chaos just continued on his way.

Help keep my thread list updated so your thread isn't forgotten!
Unless otherwise mentioned as absent, assume that both Great Horned owl companions are nearby
Chaos speaks in a strong lisp, which I am usually too lazy to write
