Geoffrey had been learning about the many uses of the humble dandelion. He'd never thought much of the plant until recently, just kind of took its presence for granted. It didn't boast the prettiest flowers or the tallest stalks so it more or less escaped his notice, but now that he knew it could do more than feed the bunnies he couldn't not notice it. Dandelions were literally everywhere.
Very gently Geoffrey pulled a dandelion out of the ground. He managed to get most of the root out, but the leaves were bruised from his teeth and the flower was a little beat up. The boy then carefully laid his prize down on top of a small bundle of similarly battered dandelion plants and picked up the whole bundle. He'd decided to take them home and prepare them for winter. Or try to, anyway. He didn't really know what he was doing and was winging it.
With dandelions in tow, he began to make his way towards the border. The wall was a dandelion magnet and he had no doubt he'd be able to collect enough dandelions there to last a lifetime.
