Rhyme found himself scouting the lands around Abaven today, mostly to survey the prey around the lands but also to take count of loners who may be close by. His pale paws brought him to an impressive forest of trees with vibrant heart shaped leaves. He believed them to be redbuds, and he had to make a note to come back and enjoy the area next spring when they might be in full bloom.

With his ears pricked and his eyes scanning the forest his trip remained uneventful. The birds in the trees were singing, though the redbuds didn’t provide much for the squirrels he spotted a couple of them. What seemed to be most impressive was the bull elk he caught out the corner of his eye. The massive animal still had antlers yet to be developed, velvet covered the stunted branches to be. Rhyme made sure to keep clear of him.

Eventually he found a large rocky outcropping, it’s zenith almost even with the tops of the short trees. With skilled paws the Alpha climbed his way to the top and surveyed the forest from above. He couldn’t quite see all of Abaven lands, but his sight was increased. A soft smile lingered on his features as he decided to drape his body over the rocks. What would be the harm in basking in the sun for a while?

More soul searching had been done, self-reflecting on her fight with the girl from Abaven. Would you know it, Dea realized she was headed right for the pack when she halted herself. What was she doing? God wanted her to follow Archon, and Archon had left Abaven to its fate, but somehow she found herself in lands that nearly bordered the pack. With a heavily conflicted sigh, the demon moved to a ridge where she could watch the lands around her. Her life had been rather tumultuous as of late. She had joined Archon in Abaven, then promptly followed him after he left it, gathered a rather nasty cut around her eye from her fight with a girl from Abaven, and had her brother show back up to remind her where she came from. There was a storm inside her, and she wasn't sure when the rain would end.

It wasn't long before another wolf showed up, though he must not have noticed her as he smiled then set about sunbathing while facing Abaven. It was an odd position for a wolf to take, and she wondered for a moment if the man could be a spy of some sort. With her curiosity piqued, Dea moved closer though she made sure to leave a respectful distance between them. "You enjoying the sun too?" She asked, just to start the conversation up. Maybe she could figure out why he was looking at Abaven like that a few moments ago. She wasn't sure why she was so interested, but she was sure she could figure it out. Besides, it was a distraction from her current inner turmoil.

Walk, "Talk" Think

Bite warning! Dea is a wolf capable of extreme violence, she only has mercy on her family. Thread cautiously!

The character you are currently reading is Dea, as indicated by the red border around her pic.

Rhyme caught movement out of the corner of his eye, after being a slave he had to keep himself aware of his surroundings. The punishments for himself rarely caused scars, but the pain was still fresh in his memory and he wasn’t about to be surprised. Turning his head to look over his back bright amethyst and cerulean eyes caught sight of the woman. She was a sleek birch color who was only a couple of inches shorter than himself. He studied her as she spoke, starting up the conversation innocently enough. He couldn’t help but wonder about the wound above her eye. Did she need it attended to?

His expression didn’t change as he looked at her, at the moment there was no reason to frown or scowl. ”Indeed, have to catch all the rays I can with Autumn on its way.” His voice was light, much more care free than it had been while he had been a captive. ”Excuse my rudeness,” He asked as he finally found his way back to his feet, his head lowering slightly in a greeting as he turned to face her. ”Rhyme Imperialis,” He was new to the whole alpha thing, should he mention his rank? ”Pleased to make your acquaintance.” Maybe better to wait until he knew who she was. ”I couldn’t help but notice your eye, are you in need of a healer?” Of course, he didn’t have any herbs, but she looked capable enough to follow him to something useful. The redbud forest held many useful shrubs.
